A plot device definitely Rhubarb otherwise how could Molly have spent quality time with CJ? But yes I think that's what Smurf was offering to do. And also CJ couldn't send Smurf and risk him getting killed otherwise he'd have had to go and live in Newport himself, so not a stupid thing to do!

Sorry to bang on about it, but it's a revelation listening with headphones. I can hear every tiny exhalation of CJ's breath. It's like he's right next to me.

Just watched the restaurant scene again and CJ saying he loves Molly. I do wish we'd heard a proper declaration of Molly's love in the series. I know it's clear how she feels but I like to have it fully spelt out.

I love the little catch in her voice when she says that galaxy99. So sweet - nearly makes up for the lack of a proper declaration.

Smurfing - yes you are also right the ring looks very large. I too have large hands (and feet not that it matters) and that ring looks like it would be far too big for me. Think it must have been any old prop ring that they had lying around!

Just gone and watched Ep4 for the extra Molly as she left his room - it's lovely isn't it? And yes, watching on iPad with headphones on is fab - like being in the cinema!

On the subject of mumbling I really didn't have any trouble with OG. We do usually watch with subtitles though as DH has some hearing loss. On the other hand, I digress slightly, but I went to see Gone Girl at the cinema last week and found that shockingly bad for mumbling. In the scene where the couple met I could barely make out any of the dialogue, and there is nothing wrong with my hearing. I sound like a real grumpy old woman now. - I'm really not, BA, if you are reading this!

Nooooooo, either DVD or player is broken! Watching episode 4 and thought I'd fastfoward Smurfs soliloquy in the bunker to get to the good bit and now it keeps freezing or sending me back to the main menu.

So in an effort to emulate some of CJs mannerisms in order to impress DW I can report the following progress:

1. Rolling up shirt sleeves to reveal enticing glimpse of forearm

DW Reaction: its not that warm in here- do middle aged men get hot flushes as well?

1. Slackening belt to emphasise flat belly and powerful torso

DW Reaction: have you eaten to much again?

1. Practice laughing through nose in irresistible way

DW Reaction: why are you snorting like a pig?

Conclusion: Stop kidding myself and just make sure that I do everything I can to make the woman in my life brilliant.

Realised I might gonna have to de-lurk and register with MN as a fellow OG fanatic after catching up with Homeland this evening and realising that Sohail was in this week's episode!
Also, my DH and I stayed at Bailbrook House Hotel about six years ago when we were in the first flushes of romance. I sat bolt upright when I first saw the restaurant scene! You will have a wonderful time there, Ilovelblue

Welcome to this obsessive thread DrBunsen! I have to remind you that I am going with a friend for a girlie weekend of eating and shopping as CJ isn't available but I do have a very good imagination! I fully intend to interrogate the staff for every last detail of the filming! My friend will probably walk away in embarrassment.

Perhaps try lounging in a paddling pool?

It's too late to watch Ep4 but I am intrigued if I can hear the Molly. Good idea to listen through earphones also others in the house can't hear and continue to moan about me watching again.

With regard to mumbling, I though in the coco pops bit CJ mumbled? Had to replay to hear properly.

Love all the activity today/tonight, too tired (and a little bit tipsy) to add anything sensible.

Tomorrow a morning of standing in a field while DS doing cross country, but then an afternoon on my own.... Bliss. Going to use earphones if only to hear that kiss !!!!!!

To make up for OG free day I'm spending tomorrow pm with iPad OG and headphones. Yippee.

And did CJ tell Rebecca who Molly was and that he had fallen for her?

Just picking up on a few bits from yesterday, I have just plugged in ear phones and listened to Molly in the cupboard bit. The sound quality is amazing. You can really hear her sharp intake of breath, but what I love is the music. It vibrates through my chest and makes the whole scene so dynamic. I still had to play several times to hear the "Molly". But yes i heard it. You can also hear noise from outside the cabin when Smurf talks. It sounds like General army noise from outside?

I don't think Smuf told his mum about Molly and CJ. I can't imagine him being able to admit to her his mistake on the bridge. Also her body language outside the hospital on the bench didn't indictate it.

FB group is interesting, but so annoying that I keep getting email msgs on my phone everytime someone posts something!

Going to indulge today and have a massive all episode viewing, later on when I'm on my own. :)

But she knows, from the ditto, the look of realisation on her face as Molly leaves the hospital room gives it all away.
