Ladies and SPO - I can announce that I am going to Bailbrook House Hotel in the New Year (where the restaurant scenes are filmed). I specifically asked for CJ to turn the beds down but that doesn't seem to be an option! Sadly, I am going with a friend for a girlie weekend as CJ isn't available, but I am sure we will still have fun! Said friend is in the (b) category of Rhubarb's analysis. Still, you can't have everything!

I agree about the dialogue in the restaurant scene. When I watched it live I found it all a bit awkward, but the more I watch it the more I feel the awkwardness is right. I love the way she says "are you trying to lure me back?" - always makes me smile!

cherin first it's the carabinieri, now it's Viggo whose image you've crushed for me!! He was probably my first 'crush'. I loved him as Aragorn and used to read any article I could find on him - he always came across as really cultured and artistic and slightly mad!

Tiny raisin doesn't really do it for me!

Ilove will you re-enact the restaurant scene? Perhaps take a lifesize cardboard cutout of CJ with you.

I think the restaurant scene works very well. Their slight awkwardness with one another is only to be expected as it's the first time they're together out of an army situation and on a date as well! The sexual anticipation between them also adds to the tension. I think it's one of my fave scenes actually cos it's got plenty of CJ's trade mark mouth twitches, lip biting etc!

Hi All. Did try and post for first time yesterday? I love the restaurant scene especially that they are both a little nervous, it is very flirty and I love their banter. The bit when he charmingly kisses her hand and she teases him and he flirts and teases her right back. They are just so comfortable with each other and gives an insight that she can cope in CJ's world.

Come on, orphan, I gave you a pictures of pompieri in underpants! Does that not compensate for the carabinieri, at least? ;-)
(Honestly, the spot where I saw viggo is usually a refuge for the homeless, a dirty back alley, but it's been used for lots of photo-shoots. Most of the people I could not recognise anyway - ray Davies of the kinks, once? May mix him up with someone else). I may blame the weird location and difficult lighting for the overall appearance...if it makes you feel better!!

Managed to get episode 4 watched. If you listen with headphones you hear him say Molly before he goes after her. Its a very heartfelt Molly...

Don't think I'll get to watch it over weekend. I can try 'decompression'

My copy of the first Our Girl came today. It's total immersion for me this weekend.

B) it kept on crashing my phone

orphan - not sure about re-enacting the restaurant scene but will definitely be asking the staff oh-so-casually if this hotel was where a part of OG was filmed and then try to draw them out about CJ/BA.

Have had an email from the organisers of the carol concert asking if I have any questions - just the one - I flipping well hope that BA is going to be there! My 23 year old daughter who wasn't interested in the photo of BA that I sent her a couple of weeks ago is being unwittingly dragged along - wicked mother!

icemist it's driving me nuts... I've listened to it so so many times and I still can't hear "Molly"...must need my hearing tested lol!!

I can only see 1 wink in the duet as well and everyone else can see 2!!

Agree about celebrities being smaller than you think. Something about them being on the screen makes them seem larger than life !

icemist when exactly is this "Molly"? I can't hear it and can't see him move his lips either and I thought I'd well and truly scrutinised it.

Ihearttc I can't hear "Molly" or see the 2nd wink either (despite extensive checks)! Does anyone know why it isn't available to download from the Google Play Store, loads of other BBC stuff is but no Our Girl , easier to sneakily watch on my tablet than DVD. Might gonna need to Email the BBC

I can't hear it on TV. But if I Watch it on laptop and with headphones and I hear it. It's exactly after Molly rushes out of his office after Smurf asking how CJ proposed. It's not on the script either.
The 2nd wink is right at the start of them singing but it's not as pronounced as the 'actual' wink

Bit of a delayed answer to one of BeingFranks points. I thought that engagement ring was a bit weird too. Firstly it was a bit expensive looking, unless it came out of a cracker, lots of stones etc. Secondly, to me it looks huge, I've got fairly big hands, but that looks like it would fit CJ better than Molly or Mrs Smurf.

I've watched it on my phone with headphones on and can't hear it then :-(

Will have to watch the duet again to try and catch it... Ohhhh it's such a hard life!

I sooo want to hear the "Molly" especially if it's really heartfelt. Are you watching an iplayer downloaded version or the dvd? Wonder if there's any difference?
