I think I need that Capt stern-face picture on a mouse mat to remind to get back to work.

NVM and richtea is there a possibility of using some super spy technology (specs that record for example) in order to relay back the concert to those of us at home (drowning our sorrows)?
Preferably technology that can also record and transmit smell - just in case you get within sniffing distance of BA.

Thought I was in for an OG moment at work today when one of my colleagues mentioned pricing up a Nespresso machine for Christmas. She had been at a client site all last week and had tried the machine out for the first time. She then started to rhyme off the different types of pods to choose from. (I am a coffee fan but don't know the first thing about Nespresso apart from the now famous Rosabaya). I said "Was there any Rosabaya in there?", hoping it was going to be my opening but she just said "Don't think so" and then changed the subject. Failed again!

Evening all! Sorry I am late. Dad duties intervened! Well the good news is that I still have a job (just). The bad news is that ( as you have come to expect) the road to CJness is a rocky one for me. It started off well, it is a big week at work and I had a team meeting in the morning to prep for it. I had a big plan on the table ( I use a lot of plans at work) and struck the appropriate pose ( both fists on the table, leaning forward, turning head to those on either side of me and looking earnestly into each face). I gave my prepared speech - you know the one - ' For those of you that are in any doubt, this is the real deal. The next week will define the rest of our lives, both good and bad.....' They were lapping it up.

The problem came when I moved away from the table and took up pose number 2. Legs apart, hands on hips, Captain Stern Face expression. I was just about to launch into the 'stay focussed' bit when I noticed some smirks around the table. I was ready for this and said ' what's so fucking funny?' One of my team leaders then pulled himself together and said, 'sorry boss but standing like that you look like a grumpy teapot'......I just don't know what I am doing wrong!

Anyway, just wanted to thank PTS for the efforts on the card. I have no problem with the love heart - very apt. Also a welcome to newbies!

Random thought...it's a pity Twitter doesn't tell you locations like FB does then we 'd know for certain if BA was in Canada at the moment.

Orphan, will do my best to get photographic evidence (kids have a selfie stick, it's a long stick you put your phone on) I could use that to get above the crowd? Might look a bit daft and draw attention to myself, but then hey at least we might get noticed (not necessarily for the right reasons!) the smell could be tricky, but I have never been one to turn down a mission!

SPO At least the team leader didn't say "short and stout..." and attempt to pour you out. Can't wait for your next attempt at CJ emulation. What's it going to be?

Oh smell- the aftershave he uses. Then I could buy that for hubby for xmas maybe get a free sample in a shop

yep- no mention of a birthday card over there at all. Its all about getting a calendar- just make your own. They are not going to make a calendar for this xmas. And I am a bit sceptical about the person claiming to be Nick Preston- the last post from 'him' did not read right

SPO - you had me in stitches. You could maybe ask BA for some tips.
Just watched episode 5 restaurant scene. Love love. The chemistry between the two is fab. I think they must have all had such fun making this. How many ways does BA look gorgeous in that scene? Think I would be just a puddle if I ever met him.
Would love somebody to record SPO trying out his CJ/BA poses and phrases. Could be a great show at Edinburgh fringe? Love love xx

SPO So funny, had me in hysterics. I don't know you but I can just picture it. In my head, you're my male boss attempting to be CJ and I can't tell you how hilarious that is!

I joined the FB group too but getting a bit bored of it to be honest. Much prefer it on here. Never been so addicted or felt so compelled to contribute to a thread.

I was going through my wardrobe the other day (no Molly in there I am afraid) but I did come across an old blue lumberjack shirt that I use for decorating duty. So I have the prop but no idea how to use it. I am therefore open to suggestions. Just remember my confidence is low and competence is questionable. I also have to preserve the last few shreds of dignity I have left.

Iloveblue I think a uniform may have helped today, a slightly crumpled suit just doesn't cut the mustard. Orphan I love a good duet but my singing would be classed as ' enthusiastic' rather than ' tuneful'. threadNneedle wish I had thought of that response! As to being a fly on the wall Richtea I am just glad my most recent 'massive fail' was limited those I have the power to hire and fire!

So my very organised firstborn has prepared the draft of his Xmas list, and it's all Lego (plus "small stuff eg pants my size, I am running low")

Is that acceptable behaviour to sneak a "build your own CJ lego figurine" in the order to Lego online??
