The general scheme is dull though. He was hampered by keeping their crappy couches though.

Halsall · 27/11/2014 19:53

Not sure about the carpet-tile hexagons, but that room is sure an improvement on the waiting-room ambience of the before version.

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 27/11/2014 20:22

It was a bleak showing for me tonight.

Katz · 27/11/2014 20:31

thought Kelly not Fiona should have gone through.

FoxSticks · 27/11/2014 21:04

I thought those shelves that Fiona's owners were so obsessed with were bloody awful. They really wound have hampered her ability to do anything with the room if they had insisted on keeping them.

GrouchyKiwi · 28/11/2014 14:55

I was excited about this challenge as I live in Edinburgh, have lived in a cool tenement flat, and wanted to see them do something beautiful with them so I was disappointed.

I like Fiona so hope she wins.

hollyisalovelyname · 30/11/2014 09:45

I love the presenter, Sophie's different earrings.
In fact I think she has great fashion style.
Perhaps this post should be in Style and Beauty Smile

Cocolepew · 02/12/2014 18:20

Only caught up with the last one. Now why didn't the shelf family say in their brief that they wanted them untouched? Instead of waiting until the poor woman had designed and bought new stuff?
They were only bits of wood on crappy brackets anyway.

How big is Fionas house!?

OP posts:
GrouchyKiwi · 02/12/2014 19:09

I want that kitchen. Sans the clutter, of course.

I think that was Fiona in the client's house, not at home?

Cocolepew · 02/12/2014 19:38

Oh was it? Blush
Martins builder is lovely.

OP posts:
GrouchyKiwi · 02/12/2014 19:55

I love Fiona's rooms and Martin's kitchen apart from the stupid light.

GrouchyKiwi · 02/12/2014 19:58

Bah. Wrong decision.

Cocolepew · 02/12/2014 20:04

I agree, Fiona should have won. Martins, kitchen was lovely, though much smaller than Fionas and he didn't finish the bedroom.

bambinibop · 02/12/2014 20:13

I really thought Fiona would win ! I guess because Martin designed more of his own products. ..

BOFster · 02/12/2014 23:38

I liked both of them. I agree that Martin should have won- Fiona's fatal error was the dado rail.

catwithflowers · 03/12/2014 07:18

How unfair, though, that Fiona lost so much time by having to clear out that nightmare of a kitchen. How on earth would her client have kept anything even remotely clean with all that clutter? Just bonkers!

R4roger · 03/12/2014 07:23

i was sad it was not fiona, although martin had some good design tricks

R4roger · 03/12/2014 07:24

did you see in fiona's kitchen the man had about 7 Fray Bentos tins Shock

BOFster · 03/12/2014 08:45

Wasn't Martin's decorator a sweetheart? Calming him down when he was getting all hissy about the mirrored wardrobes Grin

R4roger · 03/12/2014 08:51

I thought he was his "partner"

ppeatfruit · 03/12/2014 12:34

Yes LOL he was his partner Grin !! I reckon that for people and organisational skills alone, Fiona should've won.

Though I'm not sure that living with a dark blue kitchen would've pleased me. I liked the wallpaper she used in the sitting room.

R4roger · 03/12/2014 12:43

exactly, Fiona was unbelievable calm wasnt she. and i loved her rooms. although i grudgingly admit to liking his too, apart from the sitting room colour scheme. i liked the mirror and half table, I hope the children dont break it!

ppeatfruit · 03/12/2014 12:49

Yes R4roger I was wondering how he fixed that half table to the mirror, was it super glue? Grin As you say, I think his design wasn't child friendly enough.

BOFster · 03/12/2014 12:50

Oh what a shame, I would have booked Mr Lovely Decorator Grin. Glad he's got such a supportive partner though.
