Or programme even

hollyisalovelyname · 19/11/2014 07:40

I missed the end. The bl**dy tv recorder acted up. Grrrr. Did the two women get through ?

NeedaDiscoNap · 19/11/2014 07:43

Yep both women went through. The guy will have to do his geometric patterns elsewhere Grin

mausmaus · 19/11/2014 09:22

I luked the toned down look of the geometry guy.

mausmaus · 19/11/2014 09:33

'liked' even

R4roger · 19/11/2014 09:53

the presenter sounded sort of sarcastic to me anyway when he asked if they now felt like interior designers

the grey room was good, the boys bedrooms, hmm, over cluttered but it is for a boy quite difficult to please judges.
those dinosaur hazards should have precluded her from going through though

mausmaus · 19/11/2014 10:17

surely there are animal heads and bottoms that are not as dangerous?

dc is now trying to convince dh to change the handles on his wardrobe

Cocolepew · 19/11/2014 19:17

Two of the homeowners are very swishy of hair Hmm

They are probably Mumsnetters. Cocolepaw Smile

FriendofDorothy · 20/11/2014 07:51

I hated that yellow room. Looked like baby shite walls.

R4roger · 20/11/2014 09:09

and despite her not liking the wall paper, i thought he put too much there, he ran out of money didnt he?

MiscellaneousAssortment · 20/11/2014 12:58

Oh Lordy, the Wimbledon living rooms... I think there will be some ripping out after waving the contestants goodbye.

The whole program feels annoyingly fake as they never get a real reaction or feedback from the 'home owner'. I wish they'd been brave enough to show some criticism as clearly there is room for improvement, so why pretend they're perfect?!

Maybe a final stage where you see what the home owners kept after living with it... Bring on the critique.

I missed the Oast Houses so am watching now :) indulgent day time viewing..

MiscellaneousAssortment · 20/11/2014 15:22

Does anyone else find the constant repetition of 'the home owner' incredibly annoying???

Ugh. Shudders. Carries on watching.

hollyisalovelyname · 20/11/2014 15:44

I didn't think the Edwardian rooms were great.
If I lived in one of those lovely houses I would have been disappointed.
I think the Australian woman who didn't get through in a previous heat would have done a great job as her own house looked fab.( to my eyes).

noddyholder · 20/11/2014 15:47

They are definitely not like any interior designers I have ever met and would never work as the results are so shoddy and unattractive. They are like students making do and are crafters at best. The floors and windows do need to be done properly and not 'mopped' with varnish Shock.

Cocolepew · 20/11/2014 19:10

Charlotte the redhead really reminds me of someone.

OP posts:
bambinibop · 20/11/2014 19:14

Me too...someone famous I think...an actress?

bambinibop · 20/11/2014 19:14

These house boat owners are a bit....unenthusiastic? !

Cocolepew · 20/11/2014 19:27

Yes an actress or comedian.

OP posts:
bambinibop · 20/11/2014 19:34

It's driving me mad now! I want to say a young Catherine Tate but I don't think that's it...

This guy that's ignoring what his home owner wants completely...I wonder how this is going to go...

bambinibop · 20/11/2014 19:35

And the really awkward conversations between the presenter and competitors are really annoying. It's just not coming across naturally at all

Cocolepew · 20/11/2014 19:36

Catherine tate is who I keep thinking off, its not though Confused

OP posts:
bambinibop · 20/11/2014 19:37

It'll come to me at 2am probably

BOFster · 20/11/2014 19:38

That's who she reminds me of. I keep expecting her to get thrown off and go "Is this face bovvered?" Grin

BOFster · 20/11/2014 19:39

Ooh, nice cumulus nimbus...
