Great posts everyone! First day for me without watching an episode.. Now to try a day without searching for CJ/BA related posts on fb/twitter/Instagram. Met a friend and asked if she watched OG. She thinks she watched 1 or 2 episodes but can't remember???? How does that even happen?!! Night all. Sweet (CJ) dreams xx

De-lurking to fess up to being another Our Girl/ CJ addict. I must admit to being late to the party on all counts. Didn't start watching the series until half way through episode 4 and then spent the whole of half term catching up with the first 3 episodes and who I am kidding watching the other 2 over and over again and in the process neglecting my offspring big time. Anyway have loved reading through these two threads, I haven't laughed so much in ages so thanks all.

Of CJ's visible attributes it is his mouth for me every time! His eyes being a close second.

Sadly, I have no RL OG addicts to compare notes with at present though I plan to share the love at some point with some friends who missed it on TV. Just trying to hold off ordering the DVD for a little while, otherwise I'll never get anything done!

MISSION: Mother tasked with attempting to interest teenage daughter in Series 1 DVD of OG in hope of gaining fellow member of family with which to discuss said series.

MOTHER: "Here's a little treat for you, how would you like to watch episode 1 of Our Girl with me? I know its a 15 certificate but there's only a bit of bad language in it (you've heard worse at school!) and only a little bit of gore but you don't need to look at that bit."

DAUGHTER: "No thanks, I don't really like military stuff!"

MOTHER: "Oh well, its not really military (lying!). Its an inspiring story about a young woman succeeding in a male dominated environment!"

DAUGHTER: "I am NOT joining the army!" - and stomps off!

MISSION FAILED - Mother retreats to sofa alone to watch said DVD again.

(By the way has anyone spotted that in Episode 2 when the military band are entertaining the platoon with the Plan B song, one of the soldiers on watch in the Observation tower is dancing!)

My sister pointed out my obsession as apparently all I post about on Twitter is OG. So will have to try and post other things on there. I tried to get her to watch an episode but she said no and 'I might watch an episode at Christmas with you'

Hubby may be picking up on my obsession with OG he noticed last night I was watching it again. He does not know of my CJ interest as yet.

Glad someone else made a calendar. Mine should be here next week. Posting my autograph request today hope he gets it before he goes to Canada! I have a few photos so going to ask him to sign them all. If he does I'll have spare :)

Trying to go to sleep last night only with thoughts of CJ, when I remembered that tiny little mole (beauty spot!) on his top lip, only recognisable depending on amount of stubble. Far too early to be having these thoughts!

Morning all. Yes Rhubarb01 spotted the dancing sentry. I do love that scene - all the troops seem to forget theirntroubkes and just enjoy themselves. Also love the conversation with your daughter! My boys are very young so no chance of watching the programme with them.

Muffintopmum noted your reference to 'visible attributes' and would just like to express my gratitude to you all for not speculating on his invisible attributes. As you know my mental state is fragile at the moment and that may just tip me over!

Someone shared this on tumblr- meant to be on Twitter too. Must be more recent but he looks mighty fine in this photo.

OK, been giving the matter serious consideration and can now say with certainty it's CJ/BA's mouth that is his best attribute. It's so...mobile, if you know what I mean. However, I don't know if it would have the same effect on me if it was attached to a less chiseled, broad shouldered, shorter specimen. There again, I feel it might be heresy to ignore the soulful eyes. Oh, I'm back to square one - will have to go and give it all some more thought. (Will use your photo icemist to aid my deliberation)

Orphan, I think it's very simple, he's just got a very lovely smile. The picture that Icemist has just put up underlines it for me - the reason why that's such a very attractive photo, compared to some of his more moody photo (which are of course still attractive) is that he's smiling - which in turns make his eyes smile! Which is just sublime....

Another favourite to add to my song list: To Let Myself Go by Ane Brun. It plays in ep 4 when CJ and MD are setting off to find Bashira's dad and CJ says "I'm not letting you out of my sight."
Will be doing bathroom cleaning duties and demucking of children's bedrooms this morning to OG soundtrack and CJ related daydreaming.

icemist are you going to ask him to sign them as BA or CJ? Thinking of sending one in taken from OG and asking him to sign it as Captain James. Do you think he would? That's who I'm really interested in after all!

Oh just noticed the rather low unbuttoning of his shirt in that pic... Right, I'm off to scrub the bath very vigorously...

I have acquired a very large pile of ironing due to half term. Mmmh! Wonder what I can do to make this task less onerous? This is really a deliberate act as my DH works from home all the time, so viewings during daytime without a good excuse have to take place rather furtively due to frequent appearances of DH for cups of coffee, snacks, leg stretching, fresh air etc. However, ironing will be a good excuse today - I reckon I have at least three episodes worth!

I'm not sure... Would it be weird if I asked for CJ? Think I'll ask for both. Prob weird enough sending him a photo of himself playing a character

Was thinking of sending the cover from the DVD too but that might be a step too far?

Do I need more? Stress I have never ever asked someone famous for their Autograph and that I'm not a teen girl?

Ok back from quick scrubbing. Amazing how much better I can do the hated chores when CJ is urging me on (so to speak).
Love that 3rd photo, icemist. Perhaps he could write "I'm never letting you out of my sight" on one ...
