I like Kay Mellor and it has a great cast. Anyone else giving it a go?

Didn't I say Jude was the father at the beginning - when he took back her school bag think in episode 1

Hermione Norris was particularly good last night. I really felt for her when her older son rejected his little brother and later when the mother-in-law visited and H.M felt left out (or is it something else?).

I thought so too. It's fantastic acting to depict so well someone on the verge of tears who is doing her best not to cry. She's also not in the least afraid to look and sound ridiculous, e.g when moaning about her constipation and stitches or when she had pizza on her chin.

Getting dafter and dafter by the minute

WipsGlitter · 02/09/2014 21:30

What's the meaningful looks between hermione and the boyfriends dad?

OhMyArsingGodInABox · 02/09/2014 21:32

Oooh she's definitely shagged her FIL at some point.

DiscoDancer · 02/09/2014 21:34

Forgot the episiotomy on the ITC bingo card!

FabulousFudge · 02/09/2014 21:36

Yes, have we seen the FIL before?!

OhMyArsingGodInABox · 02/09/2014 21:36

Oh that is a very white baby. :(

ladybird69 · 02/09/2014 21:40

O my frigging god Sooo broody right now :-(

KenDoddsDadsDog · 02/09/2014 21:43

Have we seen boyfriend's dad before?

toastandmarmiterocks · 02/09/2014 21:45

This is so dreadful but I just can't stop watching it. I do want to know the deal with the FIL...

FabulousFudge · 02/09/2014 21:50

All the breaches of confidentiality are ridiculous!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 02/09/2014 21:51

I liked the slow-mo birth.

Yes, she knows him somehow.

DustBunnyFarmer · 02/09/2014 21:51

Oh my God, this beyond awful but weirdly compelling.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 02/09/2014 21:57

Because a day or two after you've given birth is the best time to make big decisions like that...

DustBunnyFarmer · 02/09/2014 21:58

I'm behind you watching on catch-up. Jasmine's family have just turned up mob-handed at the hospital. Surely another tick on the cliche bingo?

FlipFlopWaddle · 02/09/2014 22:00

I want to know where this hospital is that can do genetic testing in 20 minutes Hmm

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 02/09/2014 22:00

Oh sorry, I won't post spoilers. I quite liked that bit, I can imagine it happening Grin

pebblestack · 02/09/2014 22:00

Argh, missed a key bit - has the baby got the haemophilia gene or not?

FabulousFudge · 02/09/2014 22:01

The music they keep playing really annoyed me tonight!

BikeRunSki · 02/09/2014 22:02

Erm, you can't just go wandering in and out of maternity wards like that!!!! There's buzzers n stuff.

pebblestack · 02/09/2014 22:04

so is it really her husband's baby?

DustBunnyFarmer · 02/09/2014 22:05

Isn't haemophilia carried on the X chromosome by women but only expressed in boys, as they only carry a single X chromosome? (Struggling to remember A level Biology stuff.)
