in the coaches box...Grin

So Federer V Djokovic, 2014.

Gutted it isn't Nadal, or Grigor. Glad it isn't Murray, we might get more balanced commentary. Grin

I think Federer may have it- and will be able to play a better game than against the big serving Raonic.

But Djok is hurting from the number of GS losses
He has only played Fed on grass once. At Wimbledon. He lost.
If the roof goes on, Fed is better indoors too.

I want a 5 set thriller, because I don't care who wins really. I am refusing to move form the sofa. My children will go to school Monday wearing pyjamas, and with a bag of crisps for lunch.

I am sticking with Virgin Pimms (a.k.a Peppermint tea)BrewWine

and Andys keeping Mauresmo on for now.

It's been raining in Toronto. But Kyrgios has just very narrowly beaten Giraldo in the first set. Gulbis is on the way to winning his first set.

Nice to be able to refresh score again Grin

Still here. Other stuff seems to have got in the way a bit.

See the Tennis Tennis are still here too.

Raahh · 06/08/2014 18:56

It is a bit of a lull at the moment, before the US open, and i'm finding it hard to keep up because of the hols.

Bret Murray is relieved to get that match under his belt- he didn't do so well during this period last year, he will be wanting to improve on that.

I think the Tennis might be permanent- they didn't bother getting rid when they removed all the CG emoticons.

But I am probably wrong and it will go pfffft nowGrin

After the aftermath of Wimby it does calm down a bit doesn't it, but I love the American hard court season and the lead up to the US Open then the Shanghai and Paris masters then O2 finals.

really hoping to get tickets this year to the Albert hall for the legends.

would love to see Leconte and Bahrami play.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 06/08/2014 19:53

We got them back for the US last year didn't we. Hopefully we will get to keep them until at least then.

Confused

The ATP site has the Wawrinka/Anderson match still playing.

The updated life rankings has Stan as the winner and through to the next round already.

A mistake, or an over-enthusiatic Stan fan? Grin

And Anderson is the actual winner.

Tsonga has beaten Djok in his first set. That's a bit of a turn up. This used to be one of Novak's best tournaments, he'll be gutted to go out now.

OP posts:
Raahh · 07/08/2014 19:10

Think there is something wrong with Djok- the scoreline doesn't look good at all.

OP posts:
Raahh · 07/08/2014 19:16

And the rankings site is being sabotaged again- this time it thinks Murray has won a match that isn't due to start until the Djok match finishes. HmmConfused

Raahh · 07/08/2014 19:41

Ahh, it would appear Gasquet has retired.

OP posts:
Raahh · 08/08/2014 18:26

Tsonga playing Murray- I'd love him to repeat his game over Djok (but it was sure an easy win, I suspect something is wrong with Djok). Unless Jo-Willy has some magic medicineGrin

Hi there, Raahh!

Thought I'd pop on to say hello so you're not talking to yourself all evening Grin

Happy birthday Roger! Wonder if he'll get his 16th (?) win over the Spanish Terrier today? I suspect he will.

Typical Murray today. Getting a break in sets 2 & 3 then tamely losing his serve. He can be so frustrating to watch.

Grigor looks like he's might be starting to get the upper hand here - at least he was until just now. Go Grigor!
