Can I ask a question? I couldn't watch tonight as World Cup is on. I want to know though, was tonight where one of the critics said the meal was the best they'd ever tasted on Masterchef (from last night's preview)?

If so, was it Jodie's meal?

Not surprised it was Susannah, lamb cutlets and veg isn't rocket science.

Susannah was very irritating and super smug in Tuesday's round. I like Jodie. She seems very down to earth despite being rather posh and incredibly beautiful.

(My 12 year old just watched a bit of MC and said that Jodie Kidd 'wasn't bad looking considering her age' )

I had to sort ds2 out (he's having a rough couple of days, stimming like crazy )

Anyone else think Jodie went on cordon bleu cookery course before going on the show? Find it odd she struggles with identifying ordinary ingredients yet rustles up such a sophisticated zabaione with tuile without any bother.

I still like her though.

I love Sophie though, she is such a luvvie, but in a good way. Loved her talking in raptures about her parcel delivery woman Ros. And her fish dish looked stunning.

I didn't rate John's brandy snap tbh, it bent when Greg but into it and it wasn't exactly delicate! My teen ds makes nicer ones!

Am I the only one who was sorry to see Susannah go? Bearing in mind she works in fashion, always thinks she comes across as rather down-to-earth and warm.

I'm glad Sophie and Jodie stayed over Susannah. I didn't dislike Susannnah but much preferred the other two. The bananas looked rank and the apples weren't much better. They should have made a massive sponge and custard type thing.

Jodie is a good friend of James Martin, I reckon he had a hand in that dessert!

Each episode must be filmed over a few days. Wouldn't Jodie have done her ingredients challenge on one day then decided to incorporate it AND PRACTICE for the bit at the end where she had to cook her own dish? She seems quite driven and determined.

Jodie probably went to finishing school! There was some crap food last week but it got better. Looking forward to this week. Not sure what time it's on but it's the England match tomoz. Mind you, I always watch MC recorded anyway.
