Just watching it now with DH, kids gone to bed stuffed with chocolate. Anyone else enjoying this as much as I am?

Ok, what's with the shower 'o' blood??

Girlsbrigadewashorrible · 04/05/2014 22:08

Billy Bob must have put dye in the water tank. That guy is seriously sinister.

Really enjoying it despite not being able to stand Martin Freeman. He always plays the same character. I missed the beginning, why did BBT go for the accountant?

Girlsbrigadewashorrible · 04/05/2014 22:23

Even though I have watched it from the start, I really haven't a clue why the accountant was a victim. Although we were shown more detail tonight at the beginning. And does BBT have a character name?

confused, where did the accountant spring from?

quite enjoyable though

Coumarin · 05/05/2014 12:42

He put pigs blood in the water tank. It showed him covering up the empty bottles of it before closing the boot of his car. (The Billy Bob character.)

I'm enjoying it. I love the subtle expressions from Martin Freeman. Their accents were amusing in the first episode but I think they're slightly toned down now.

It's excellently written.

Mandy2003 · 05/05/2014 12:49

Oh yes, I saw him covering the bottles but thought they were full of something (chemicals/petrol for his next job!)

Raia · 05/05/2014 12:51

I'm loving this show. I assumed the accountant was just BBT's hit from his previous job but maybe more will come out about that in future episodes? The writing is absolutely brilliant and I love the soundtrack too (especially that drum solo last week). Hope they release a soundtrack album.

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 05/05/2014 14:34

The way I see it, Billy Bob's character is a professional killer and was hired to kill the accountant. Or maybe we havent seen the entire picture yet. (The accountant was the same one as in the first episode, this was a flaskback to show events leading up to it and how it Lester is linked in).

Girlsbrigadewashorrible · 05/05/2014 15:26

Does anyone else think that BBT might lose his (fake?) wig and beard at some point as he doesn't seem too bothered about privacy.

OP posts:
Girlsbrigadewashorrible · 05/05/2014 15:34

BBT character's name is Lorne Malvo.

Loved it last night. Didn't notice any sexism and frankly, wouldn't care. I just really enjoy the show without thinking too much about it. I thought this weeks was better than last weeks.

susiedaisy · 05/05/2014 17:58

Another fab episode. Smile

Girlsbrigadewashorrible · 11/05/2014 21:54

BBT is excellent again this week.

Mandy2003 · 11/05/2014 22:00

Better this week than last I thought. What zapped the bearded guy when they had MF at the lake?

DustBunnyFarmer · 11/05/2014 22:02

DH and I just laughed our heads off when the bearded and deaf enforcers got put in the holding cell with Lester. Genius!

beachyhead · 11/05/2014 22:03

He had a stun gun in his pocket that he'd nicked off his bil the week before!

Girlsbrigadewashorrible · 11/05/2014 22:05

Sorry I'm watching it on record so about 20 mins behind you.

OP posts:
Sheldonswhiteboard · 11/05/2014 22:05

Loved the reference back to the film, picking up the money that the Steve Buscemi character left in the snow.

Girlsbrigadewashorrible · 11/05/2014 22:17

Was the plumber the same guy who was trying to blackmail Stavros? I loved the way he put the Moses story into his head.

OP posts:
Mandy2003 · 12/05/2014 16:08

I think it was the personal trainer that was blackmailing Stavros. Don't think the plumber was the personal trainer in disguise.

I thought the insects were cockroaches (possibly the best revenge to have in a food store!) but they must have been locusts as he'd gone all biblical on his ass. What else can we have - frogs? - boils??

PedantMarina · 12/05/2014 17:31

I've managed to forget a lot of the RE stuff, but remember enough to know the last of the biblical plagues thing. problem is, Stavros doesn't seem to like his son enough to care, so not sure where they're going with that...

KatoPotato · 12/05/2014 17:51

PLumber and personal trainer are the same guy!

Mandy2003 · 12/05/2014 18:37

Oh are they, Kato? I have slight face blindness problems which cause me some angst when watching complicated programmes like this. Thanks Smile

You can imagine the problems I have in EastEnders with Charlie/Jake/Deano etc - they all look the same to me!

KatoPotato · 12/05/2014 19:31

Haha! It was DH who confirmed it, I'm hopeless too!
