Careful Herc this isn't the spoiler thread, you have given away some significant plot there.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 03/06/2014 16:24

We also know the future...

We do?? Confused

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 03/06/2014 16:30

We do if we have read the books!

MikeLitoris · 03/06/2014 16:36

I wonder of he plans on releasing the next book before the TV show has caught up? Is it really only two more episodes of this series left? Sad

What hec has posted there kind of reinforces where I think the story is going. I hope my predictions are right.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 03/06/2014 16:42

Ohhh ok. Thought I missed some major foreshadowing or something in this episode!

IdaBlankenship · 03/06/2014 17:09

Tulip I thought the same - very Inigo Montoya Grin

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 03/06/2014 17:10

All I know is I need Tyrion to live!

AnnaLegovah · 03/06/2014 17:53

I read something that said that section was a direct nod to Inigo Montoya and deliberate. Which makes sense.

Avoiding reading Hercs post if its a spoiler.

Does anyone else think Dany missed a trick with Jorah?I would have killed him.

PrincessTeacake · 03/06/2014 18:01

Goodnight, sweet prince Sad

As gutted as I am by the Viper's passing, I know it's paving the way for CENSOREDSPOILERS becuase the casting has begun for CENSOREDSPOILERS and even CENSOREDSPOILERS might show up and that would just make my year.

To quote a saying from season 1 "The seed is strong."

Lighthousekeeping · 03/06/2014 18:15

I wouldn't have killed him. I have a soft spot for him.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 03/06/2014 19:40

I think she does, too. Have a soft spot for him I mean.

I wonder if Sansa and Arya will see each other?

Nessalina · 03/06/2014 21:22

Ooooh that was horrible (behind on Sky+)!! I've read the books but I couldn't remember how it ended up. Only remembered when the Mountain was flat on his back, and I suddenly thought "no!! Oberyn!! Don't go near him!!" Ugh. Grim grim grim.
Surely with the Mountain a goner as well (don't think they have the surgeons for poleaxe-through-stomach injuries in GoT!) the fairer call is a draw?!

TulipOHare · 03/06/2014 22:14

I don't think they really go in for "fair" in Westeros Nessalina Grin

TucsonGirl · 03/06/2014 23:08

I can't believe there are only two episodes left. :(

Nessalina · 03/06/2014 23:15

Good point Tulip! Confused

curiousgeorgie · 03/06/2014 23:30

I loved Jorah! We're sad he's gone in my house... She should have forgiven him!

limitedperiodonly · 04/06/2014 08:01

Yes, I think she should have forgiven Jorah. I think she's made a mistake because he'd proved himself to be loyal. He spied when he didn't know her but when he'd grown to love and respect her, he changed.

I thought the baby had been given to the White Walkers. Which one was that baby?

AnnaLegovah · 04/06/2014 08:07

That baby is Gilly's son Sam, the one big Sam helped get away from Craster. He should have gone to the white walkers.

I bet we havnt seen the last of Jorah. But I do think if Dany felt he had betrayed her so badly she should have killed him - he could easily turn against her now. I dont think he will, but hes a weakness for her.

SpecialAgentFreyPie · 04/06/2014 08:15

What annoyed me the most about banishing Jorah is she did exactly what Tywin, her enemy, wanted!

She also banished someone who knows so much about her. What if the wrong person got their hands on him?

AnnaLegovah · 04/06/2014 09:19

Exactly special. And that's exactly why she should have killed him if she felt what he did was unforgiveable. Very naive of her.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 04/06/2014 09:20

Wow, really good points. Tywin clearly knows how to play the game well.

TulipOHare · 04/06/2014 09:51

All true, but she is still new at ruling. And very young (in the book she is still a young teenager at this point). I was a little bit disappointed with how they did this scene - she seemed very closed-off, which I do get, I can see what they were going for...but I think we needed to see at least a hint of the sheer rage and sadness she felt at what she sees as a huge, huge betrayal, as they go a long way towards explaining her error here in banishing Ser Jorah instead of either forgiving him or executing him. The betrayal is too personal and too close to home for either of those options.

Am sure these chickens will come home to roost, though...

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 04/06/2014 11:39

No hard feelings, boys

hildasmuriel · 04/06/2014 14:38

I agree about Dany. She is playing the hard ruler in the way she talks but I think Jorah's betrayal will have really shaken her. She is not yet a wise ruler and she would have done better to kill or keep him, not exile him to go and spill all her secrets.

AnnaLegovah · 04/06/2014 15:11

I actually think this wasn't the right episode to have the Dany/Jorah scene - its very important but too easily hidden in an episode that had wildlings raiding and killing, and Oberyn's nasty death. It felt a bit lost amongst all that action.

Pedro Pascal is yummy and sounds like an ace guy Smile. As for the chap who plays the Mountain - he's only 25!!! Shock
