Does anyone else feel completely traumatised by that episode? The scenes with reek and Ramsey are hard enough to watch but oberyns death was horrific. And he was so close to winning.

I was totally shocked by that. I really thought Oberyn would win. I was stood up with my hands on my face in shock. It made me feel quite sad of I'm honest.

Me too mike. I should have known better. This is gof after all. No one gets what they deserve, good or bad. Still totally addicted though. Surely they dare not kill off tyrion.

Sigh. It was Oberyn's own fault. He got cocky!

Surely Tyrion can't die though!? I can't bear to lose another major character, and one of the best at that.

I am LOVING the Transformation of Sansa Stark. She and Baelish are creeping me out... kind of in a good way.

I thought Oberyn would die but I thought it would be by some underhand tywin lannister move.

I'm only on book 1 so am loving all these shocking moments. Reading about them beforehand usually takes some of the shine off.

Oh and Ramsey Bolton is a fabulous actor. He makes my skin crawl. He and Alfie Allen are brilliant.

Fucking hell. I feel like I need some sort of debrief after seeing that, even though I've read all the books.

I dearly loved Oberyn.

what the hell was all that guff about beetles? That wasn't in the book.

I need to see a prequel to GoT.

I want to see Elia Martell and Lyanna Stark. I don't think much was said about those days on the TV show. There's a bit more detail in the book.

Did the mountain die? It wasn't clear really was it.

I feel traumatised. I was so confident oberyn would win.

The last scene with Sansa was a bit weird. DH reckons they've had sex now. After her 'I know what you want' comment, then her looking quite grown up and a bit smug

I really liked Oberyn, he was hilarious. What's his lady friend going to do now?

I really doubt Sansa would give up her most powerful asset (her virginity) so easily, chops, by that comment I think she's just showing how she can play the game too. Remember what Cersei told her about a woman's lady parts?

I couldnt watch that. I saw my DH face watching it and that was enough.

I knew Oberyn was a gonna, someone hinted early on in this thread so I was hiding behind a cushion. Thankfully I missed the worst of it. Why can't the good guys ever win??

I don't think Sansa has DTD with Baelish, I think she's just learning the game.

Is Arya still outside the castle? Will Sansa see her when she comes out?

if tyrion dies i don't think i can cope with any more. too heartbroken..... but i just can't think of any way he is going to get out of this!

That was really too much IMO. I felt physically sick for a good half hour afterwards (and I didn't even see it happen)

I agree Sansa wouldn't give up her virginity to Littlefinger so easily. But she is learning to control him through her womanly wiles.

Episode nine next week. GoT episode nines have traditionally been biggies.

I have read the books so have some ideas, but they do play around with timelines and tinker with things here and there, so I really couldn't guess what's going to happen next week

I couldn't remember the full quote Bue so I did a quick google. It's from during the battle of Blackwater when Cersei gets drunk:

Cersei gets some awesome quotes.

The trailer for next week is a big battle with the Nightswatch and the Wildlings.

I don't think Sansa would give herself up to Littlefinger either but I think she is learning to be a player. Littlefinger is kind of in her debt now, she was the one the Lords of the Vale trusted.

I have an idea what is coming next week but even for book readers this series has been full of surprises.

I can't cope with these traumatic episodes. Why didn't he just finish the damn job? If Tyrion dies, I may have to personally find George RR Martin and make him re-write the book.

Is the Mountain dead too? (Not that I care that much, but would prefer the Hound to kill him)
