Those of you that have read the books, would you recommend it? I know the books can go into a lot more detail about characters and history.

Agree with Tommen and Margaery being weird. Also Baelish creeps me the fuck out.

Baelish accent has taken on a life of its own.

I have the first book on my kindle but find it difficult to get into if I'm honest. I am also wary of reading them a I know they have things in a different order. I don't want to spoil the TV show for myself iyswim

In a family where Tommen's father and uncle are the same person, his relationship with Margaery is pretty vanilla.

Littlefinger's accent is driving me to distraction. I adore Aidan Gillen and his voice usually makes my ovaries clench but now I expect him to enquire as to the whereabouts of his Lucky Charms

Do you think there's going to be a big Tyrion/Littlefinger showdown in the last book/series?

I sense littlefinger will not last until the last book.

Maybe Sansa will do it.
She needs to kill someone soon, she's practically the only character that hasn't.

I would lay money on Sansa to kill Littlefinger. I think she is going to learn from him, become better at playing the game of thrones than he is, and then dispose of him.

And then get together properly with Tyrion?

I'm still hoping Tyrion will end up somewhere warm, abroad, away from his family and love happily ever after with shae

In that case my only hope is for more of Jon Snow getting naked.

I'm almost certain we haven't seen the last of Shae. I've not read the books but I have a feeling She was not all she seemed to be.

Well not so far Belle and Chopsy. But who knows where he may end up by the end? as Dany's hand when she is queen. Just caught up with last episode, bit of a filler. I do like how he makes you empathise with those who you previously saw as baddies. So, now you think the White Walkers may have their own civilisation and in their own way they are "saving" the babies abandoned by Craster from death from cold and wolves.

Am I the only one rooting for Tyrion and Sansa to actually grow to love each other? Please don't make reference to this not happening if you know it won't!

SagaNorens no, I'd quite like that to happen too, I thought she was definitely mellowing towards him and I loved how she picked up the goblet for him when Joffrey was trying to humiliate him. They were united by their hatred of Joffrey in that moment.

I kind of hope they stay together too.
