I think I may be in love Smile

OP posts:
DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 30/01/2014 22:12

Just catching up...I'm hooked - it's enjoyably silly and exactly what I need on a Sunday night Smile

Porthos absolutely gorgeous, Athos also quite hot, Aramis a bit more boringly-attractive but not "all man" like the other two Wink And dogtanian (what do you mean, that's not his name? Grin) definitely too young...am I getting old?

AnneWentworth · 30/01/2014 23:29

I am less than (only just)- decade older than D'Artagnan. I am remarkably pleased about this. Although Santiago what's his name who is Aramis is a few years older than me = happy me all round really.

plutarch14 · 30/01/2014 23:32

Richelieu, I so would.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 31/01/2014 19:26

okay, 6 pages of this thread I really cant read all through so if this has been asked before sorry but.....

why is it on after 9pm? I thought it was going to be like Merlin or Atlantis?

too much language/rumpy bumpy/heaving breasts?

coffeeinbed · 31/01/2014 19:33

It's just like Atlantis.
Except with Musketeers.
It's very safe and tame.
It don't warrant the 9pm slot.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 31/01/2014 19:39

that's why I wondered. why so late if its safe for younger viewers? and its also on a sunday isn't it?

coffeeinbed · 31/01/2014 19:49

Because they have nothing else to fill the slot, I would assume.
Or they shot a better saucier version but are too cautious to show it.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 31/01/2014 19:51

might give it a go then. isn't Peter capaldi in it? and Rafa Nadals looking a lot like Santiago Cabra Grin these days.

disclaimer I am not a fan of either!

coffeeinbed · 31/01/2014 19:57

I've never knowingly watched them, but it's a harmless end of a Sunday.
Don't have to concentrate to much, just mindless fun.

congresstart · 31/01/2014 20:10

I had to rewatch episode 1 and didn't remember any of the actual story...must have been busier drooling than I thought

FrumiousBandersnatch · 31/01/2014 20:39

The king reminds me of a young Dave Grohl, before he got all handsome.

SomethingkindaOod · 01/02/2014 16:03

Ok, am going to watch an episode this week, do I need to catch up on iPlayer or can I pick up the story off Sunday's episode? It's been a while since I read the book.
And the most important question....
Is the lovely Mr Capaldi in it a lot and does he have his Scottish accent? I'd have him over any of the musketeers any day of the week!

AnneWentworth · 01/02/2014 17:52

Well if you read this thread you will notice that the story seems to have escaped most, however you will get 2 extra hours of viewing.

SwedishEdith · 02/02/2014 21:56

dp has just said "It's not very good this is it?" Ha ha, clearly thinking we're watching for the story. I was mesmerised by Santiago Cabrera on Sunday Brunch this morning. How good looking does one man want to be? Shock

Pixel · 02/02/2014 22:16

Mmm yes, it's a good job I'm not watching it for the plot...

This is the first time I've seen anything with Peter Capaldi in, and I find myself hoping he's going to be better in Doctor Who than he is in this. He's no great shakes, bit of a cartoon baddie.

Pixel · 02/02/2014 22:18

Btw, did Bonnaire make anyone else think of Lord Flash Heart? I think it was the voice!

AnneWentworth · 02/02/2014 22:27

Santiago was on Sunday Brunch - off to I player.

Tigresswoods · 02/02/2014 22:32

Watched the first two episodes.

Started watching tonight & just CBA. Did I miss anything good?

congresstart · 02/02/2014 23:31

Tom Burke was on sunday brunch too....

Tigresswoods · 03/02/2014 07:24

Hmm, not much then...?

LetZygonsbeZygons · 03/02/2014 17:04

oookaaaay. was going to let DC watch this last night but thankfully she was preferring bed! family programme? simulated sex noises as they were trying to escape a locked room?

goodbye.

FrumiousBandersnatch · 03/02/2014 17:09

To be fair to the bbc, it isn't promoted as a family programme; it is on after the watershed.

FuckingWankwings · 03/02/2014 17:13

Yes, the Beeb have said it's family viewing and the 9pm slot pretty obviously places it in the 'adult' category Hmm

FuckingWankwings · 03/02/2014 18:31

haven't said it's family viewing. [fool]

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/02/2014 21:33

Zygons I don't think anyone said this was family viewing. It is on post-watershed.

Bit rude to get the hump with people on this thread?
