I think I may be in love Smile

I know..
I was just startled, in between the concentrating on things other than facts.

Dontlaugh · 26/01/2014 22:16

Coffee, arf GrinGrin
The hair is good though, to be fair. Shiny, swishy, and not a hint of the undoubted nits they all suffered.....

AtYourCervix · 26/01/2014 22:19

Porthos was doing it for me this evening . Oooof.

coffeeinbed · 26/01/2014 22:19

No complaints about the hair.
Still think D'Art looks like a lab puppy though.
He'll grow.

The pretty boy playing d'Artagnan cannot act for toffee. Surely they could have found someone with acting talent and pin up looks.

Also I don't get how he's gone from a stroppy teenage stranger to being one of the gang.

Pft.

Bowlersarm · 27/01/2014 15:18

Oh, squoosh, he's fine.

coffeeinbed · 27/01/2014 15:48

yep, if it's fine acting you're after you're watching the wrong show...
Grin

squoosh · 27/01/2014 15:51

I wouldn't mind if there was one I fancied but I don't!

I usually always find someone to perv over in a costume drama.

Bowlersarm · 27/01/2014 15:55

Just watching it again (because H missed it yesterday).

That king looks uncannily just like my mother's dog.

Constance is the worst for acting - and what's her husband about, completely not bothered by all these swashbuckling musketeers hanging about!!!

Tallalime · 27/01/2014 23:31

Oh I love it. It's they're all so pretty!

I also love the feme tune.

Is Porthos some relation of Craig Charles. I kept coming over all Red Dwarf whenever I saw him. Still would though... probably third or fourth.

FuckingWankwings · 28/01/2014 09:55

'That king looks uncannily just like my mother's dog.' Grin

Just watched Sunday's. Am developing a SERIOUS obsession with Tom Burke. Didn't give him a second glance in The Hour, but in this, with the hair, and the attitude, and the leather: DING DONG.

D'Artagnan does have beautiful lips, LeBearPolar (love the username!).

I have NO idea what actually happened plotwise in this episode Grin

GoshAnneGorilla · 28/01/2014 10:55

It is utter nonsense - the se scenes between the Queen and Aramis could not have been more OTT, but I'm happily rubbing my thighs over them all. I've not got a favourite yet, though I might be leaning towards being Team Porthos.

AnneWentworth · 28/01/2014 12:53

Porthos has the best one liners.

coffeeinbed · 28/01/2014 13:13

It was in the book as well, Aramis and the Queen.
All very dangerous.
Of course.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 28/01/2014 13:41

Anne the problem for the husband - as vaguely referenced this week - is that he is dependant on the custom of the musketeers (among others) for his livelihood. He cannot just tell them to bugger off.

Yes Aramis and the Queen all in the book. The way he was looking at her

I think I am leaning towards Team Athos. It is the leather.

Bowlersarm · 28/01/2014 18:50

Yes I think I'm team Athos too, Ali. (They are all way too young for me but in my own mind I'm still only about ooh 20).

It is supposed to be utter nonsense though isn't it? A serious story but with an awful lot of buffoonery being the most noteworthy theme.

AnneWentworth · 29/01/2014 07:58

I am reading the book, it has been on my shelf for way too long.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/01/2014 10:23

Bowlers yes it is - it isn't a serious book.

Interestingly though the sequels are much more so.

I am older than all of them, not by too much though Wink

coffeeinbed · 29/01/2014 10:35

I read all of them as a teenager, loved them.
True though, the sequels are darker, in fact I've forgotten all of them until Alibaba posted.

congresstart · 29/01/2014 22:02

Tom Burke is lovely....they are all great to look at but he is the best

Joey8 · 30/01/2014 17:25

I can't say the storylines are that great but I will definitely be tuning in each week regardless Wink...drool
