I think I may be in love Smile

Love it! D'Artangnan is so beautiful...

Thurlow · 22/01/2014 13:47

No one fancies Athos, then? Just me?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 22/01/2014 14:20

Me too. He is much hotter than D'artangnan.

squoosh · 22/01/2014 14:24

I'm going to watch it next week and pick one to fancy. I suspect I may go for a baddie as none of the Musketeers stirred my loins.

FuckingWankwings · 22/01/2014 14:24

I fancy them all a bit Blush. I think it's the facial hair, and those tiny, tightly cinched waists in the heavy-duty leather stuff.

Actually I fancy D'Artagnan the least. Bit TOO young and pretty. I'm not saying I'd say no, though I'd just have Peter Capaldi first

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 22/01/2014 14:31

Yep I am loving the leather. And all the hats and hairiness.

I may have to watch it again before Sunday Grin

Flopsy28 · 22/01/2014 17:09

Miranda...I actually Googled Carlos from Desp Housewives as I'd convinced myself it was him.

D'Artagnian is gorgeous, but they're all dark and brooding so I'm happy all round really.

Thurlow · 22/01/2014 17:31

I can't stand a man with longer hair than me. Too much time and effort. I can cope with uncut, but not stylised shoulder-length hair. I can't remember ever fancying anyone in the D'Artagnan ilk.

LeBearPolar · 22/01/2014 17:34

Can I have a quick MN jury? DH and I watched this - is it too heaving bosoms/bodice ripping for DS who's all but 11? He loved Merlin and Atlantis and the trailers for The Musketeers have really appealed to him.

I am weirdly attracted by D'Artagnan's mouth by the way. Very kissable.

squoosh · 22/01/2014 17:38

I think it's fine for an 11 year old, no sex scenes as such and the violence is of a cartoony nature. By rights it should be on Saturday evenings at 7pm. It's certainly no Game of Thrones.

MirandaGoshawk · 22/01/2014 18:01

Flopsy - looks a bit younger & more athletic than Carlos. Desp.H was a while ago now so Carlos has prob gone grey! still fanciable tho

D' Artagnan is gorgeous but looks a bit young. But Milady (was it her?), her in the red velvet anyway, went for him so who am I to argue?

To be serious for a mo, re 11yo watching it, I feel slightly uncomfortable with kiddies seeing people jumping into bed when they've only just met, etc etc. They never discuss contraception either do they Grin? So I would have to point out that it's only pretend, that people in RL don't behave like that, [hmm !] best to just have sex with someone you love, & all that.

LeBearPolar · 22/01/2014 18:52

Thanks for advice. Miranda - he has seen some bits and pieces of Home and Away so we have had conversations along those lines:

'Now, you remember that Tamara was dating Casey but then she lost her memory and started dating his brother Kyle. Well, her memory's come back again so now she's broken up with Kyle and has got back together with Casey. This is not the best way to do things!' Grin

I am hoping that he will respond to the bed-hopping the way he does with the kissing in Pirates of the Caribbean - stop kissing and get back to the arguing and fighting!

But in all seriousness, I do like to have the opportunity to have those kinds of conversations in response to a TV programme - didn't think of the Musketeers like that, so v. good advice!

AnneWentworth · 22/01/2014 21:49

Thought I had better post to maintain my place for Sunday so we can perv over the beautiful people discuss the plot and what may happen next.

MirandaGoshawk · 23/01/2014 12:48

LeBearPolar - wasn't really giving advice, just saying how I'd feel. But yes, no doubt it is all 'yuck' to dch (thankfully) and it's the teens we should be worried about! But yes, I had the same convos with Corrie and my dch. Can be quite a convenient way to bring things into conversation, but can also be very Blush at times. At the other end of the spectrum, I remember my mum (aged very old!) asking me why 'rowlocks' was so funny in a Two Ronnies sketch!

HanSolo · 24/01/2014 00:31

Just watched the first episode... and I am so sad, that what I noticed most was the rocks- I pointed out to DH that it was filmed in the Czech Republic, and in end credits I was proved right!

All those pretty men, and I just looked at the rocks? Confused

Think something is wrong with me...

(but not D'artagnan- he is too young!)

IndridCold · 24/01/2014 12:51

Not a patch on the film version with Michael York and Oliver Reed.

Really wanted to like it, but the woeful cheesy script meant I couldn't stand more than 20 minutes.

AnneWentworth · 26/01/2014 21:21

Anyone watching?

coffeeinbed · 26/01/2014 21:24

Mmmm.
I am.

Dontlaugh · 26/01/2014 21:26

Delightful tv. But not remotely related to Alexander Dumas.
More Dumbass, to quote a review.
Still watching it though!

AnneWentworth · 26/01/2014 21:31

It's addictive. I like mindless (attractive) tv.

coffeeinbed · 26/01/2014 21:34

Can't post, I'm concentrating.
Grin

coffeeinbed · 26/01/2014 21:46

That's odd, the King and Queen ought to be on horses.
What are they doing casually walking around town?

Bowlersarm · 26/01/2014 21:48

Another hour of swooning. Bliss.

AnneWentworth · 26/01/2014 21:54

I know and up to that point so accurate.

Dontlaugh · 26/01/2014 22:12

Coffee, if you're looking for facts, methinks thoust chasing the wrong thread.....
