We're running out of space on the previous thread - thanks to HalleLouja for the inspired thread title.

No spoilers please! I'm all braced for the Bearded Iran Invasion. And maybe, just maybe, tonight's the night Silent Chris will get that speech therapy he so badly needs.

And another pathetic link to those Homelanded album covers because if someone doesn't tell me what at least one of them originally was then I might well go pop.

I was confused by all the "hot doc" references at first. I was thinking the CIA lot were agents and the doctor referred to must be the one who came in to Carrie at the hospital. Who was not hot at all. Not even a little bit warm Grin

Don't know if the one who got shot by Javadi was a doc but he was the CIA man who played backgammon (?) with Brody and mentioned his family.

I think the backgammon beardy was the doc. My DH thought the man shot wasn't the doc. Men....

Backgammon man def shot. He may have been also a doc or just talented CIA black ops chap with medical training - I wasn't sure.

I'm wondering what kind of feasible extraction plan you could have for someone who assassinated the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Tehran.

I got the impression that the Beardy crew aren't CIA. In the episode where they train Brody up the scene where they're in the car and Carrie takes him to where Dana is working, there's a bit where one of the Beardies say's something like "she's fucking CIA, you think she's gonna tell you anything?".

I think they're special military or something.

It would have to be so cunning a plan that I don't think Farah's uncle's flat in Tehran alone would really suffice. But yet that seems to be all Carrie has come up with so far.

Rollergirl - I hadn't clocked it at the time but you're right - Beardies have referred to the CIA as though they're not CIA. Operating a payroll for all these non-employee employees must be a right laugh.

The Beardies are Special Ops (SAS-type US soldiers, maybe marine corps but reckon Army).

It was definitely the lovely Doc that Javadi shot, no doubt about it (unfortunately).

Javadi really is satan - scary man.

Yes, sadly it was Beardie Doc who got shot (have watched 4OD just to check), he should never have mentioned his family.

I'm curious to know what the CIA is going to do with Brody if they do extract him. Given that's he's the most wanted man in America n'all. 'Ah yes, we know that he said that he blew up the CIA but he didn't. That video? Well yes, he did try to blow up the VP and several other VIPs in the State Building but it's okay because he chickened out and anyway he has just very kindly killed the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard for us. Oh, sorry, no we didn't say that last bit because that will lead to WW3!'

If the scriptwriters can dream up a way to get Brody into S4 I will be very impressed, but I will be a but gutted if they kill him off as he's my favourite character in the whole thing. Clearly the whole season this time has been written as a building script, but I think it's only got really good now that poor conflicted Brody is back in play.

I think Sundays episode was a bit far fetched tbh.
As if they would survive their car being blown up.

Carrie was IMHO unprofessional to be crying in the ops room.
Saul would not leave the room in the middle of an aborted mission.
Even if it had gone pear shaped.

The penultimate episode. What am I going to do with myself on a Sunday night? It's one of the very few programmes I watch with teenage DS2, and it's been lovely to have Homeland theorizing to bond over.
