MsNobodyAgain · 06/12/2013 14:49

This is a thread for all lovers of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm. All welcome, newbies, regulars, lurkers. Let me entertain you with a festive song:

The 12 Days of Doctors Christmas
On the twelfth day of Christmas
My true love sent to me
Twelve Mandy's fretting
Eleven Chris's whinging
Ten Jimmi's washing
Nine Heston's scripting
Eight Barry's peering
Seven Daniel's flirting
Six Zara's glaring
Five paaaa-tients!
Four sad Robs
Three pies for Al
Two Karens
And a tabard in a pear tree

Xmas Smile Xmas Smile Xmas Smile

The apostrophe police will have a field day with that one ^

(Private note to Kev: go on.....show me your baubles! Xmas Grin)

Oh well done cinnamon! That is great!

Being "moved in on" by Jimmi is bad enough, but Jimmi in drag? Yuck!

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 13/12/2013 19:45

Well done Cinnamon! I was in ours last week, aimlessly wandering round the Christmas market with the DCs.

curlyclaz13 · 13/12/2013 20:56

congratulations lezzl and cinnamon and mini Anne and whoknows
I haven't watched yet due to 'shopping' for my birthday which was an unmitigated disaster, couldn't find anything I like so OH got annoyed by that, then ds was fussing while we tried to eat as he is too interested in what we are eating but is too young to eat tgi Friday's ! then on the way home we had to pull over to feed him, OH pulled into an unlit country road so I could bf without causing a crash, ready to go and the battery died. Then small boy screamed the rest of the way home for 20 minutes inconsolable Sad I need a drink and doctors. ooh a lot of 'then's' in there sorry.

DrinkFromSantasFountain · 14/12/2013 00:23

I was so sad for gobbyplod when she told him she'd slept with wankerphil even if her brain is damaged and she can't remember however many years she should show a bit of empathy and not be a nasty selfish bitch, I've met teenagers, I was one many years ago, I'd never have behaved like she is. In my opinion The story is ridiculous and if she doesn't have a miraculous recovery soon and get back with gobbyplod I'll be driving to leatherbridge to find her in a carpark and finish the job properly.

Also why do they seem to get so involved with their patients? I went to the dr today with a suspicious mole, I caught it hiding round corners twiddling its moustache and despite my concerns and basically my entire bloodline being wiped out by cancer I was fobbed off with a referral to a dermatologist and was kicked out within 3min (I timed it)

I've been saving that rant up for a while sorry.

DrinkFromSantasFountain · 14/12/2013 00:24

Even tried to use the right code words.

not trying to fit in noooo

MsNobodyAgain · 14/12/2013 03:16

Drink There will be a miraculous recovery, there's gotta be!

And I have to say when I was a teenager I was the most selfish, entitled arsehole that there could be. I cringe when I look back and have apologised to my Mum profusely.

Sorry about your experience at the doctors. We have all wished we lived in Letherbridge from time to time. There, you could have had a home visit and been seen at St Phils the same day. Hope all turns out OK with your mole anyway.

By the way, well done to everyone ooop thread that had proud moments/achievements. Too late to scroll up and name you all...I only woke up for a wee!

New low MsN Grin

toldmyhollywreath · 14/12/2013 18:11

I echo MsNo in saying well done. Plus we dumped our old bed at the freighter today, so I can talk rubbish as well! Haha MsNo !
On a separate note-my friend's ma had an actual real life home visit (&she doesn't live in Letherbridge) Shock

leezl · 14/12/2013 18:24

Oooh well done and congratulations to everyone!! Thank you for the congrats

cinnamongreyhound · 14/12/2013 18:53

Sorry about your disastrous trip curlyclaz13, and happy birthday!

I agree DrinksFromSantasFountain, I don't understand why she dislikes him so much. He was clearly trying to hurt him but despite being older he's still the man she fell in love with, as someone else said up thread.

I'm babysitting tonight so I will be very sensible! Watching strictly at the moment :)

MsNobodyAgain · 14/12/2013 20:36

I am teetotal for health reasons but I will be imbibing my own body weight in fizzy pop. Xmas Grin

I have been with the DCs all day and have told them it is mummy time now and retreated to my bedroom to watch Storage Wars. More rubbish. Ha!

curlyclaz13 · 14/12/2013 21:34

poor gobbyplod, poor jimmi.
That was a great panto Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 14/12/2013 22:01

I don't drink much because I'm a control freak I dont like the feeling after a drink or too. Tea or water mostly for me!

MsNobodyAgain · 16/12/2013 07:30

Morning! Monday bump.

They are showing 'Perfection' at Doctors o'clock. Possibly the tamest gameshow apart from 'Eggheads' Daphne makes me feel violent

You don't hear the name Daphne very often these days. I blame Scooby Doo.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 16/12/2013 08:04

"Daphne" will always be Daphne Broon for me. And it is a Broons year this year. Yay! Don't get me wrong, I love Oor Wullie, but The Broons are the best.

This will not make the slightest sense if you don't have a Scottish background.

OodKingWenceslas · 16/12/2013 08:24

Was it Daphne in Neighbours that have birth in tights wonders if Doctors writers are inspired by old Aussie soaps

toldmyhollywreath · 16/12/2013 13:52

Yes Daphne from neighbours gave birth in tights.
Do the Broons still go to the but 'n' Ben ? And oor Wullie must still have his bucket Anne I don't often read the Sunday Post these days (my dad used to pass on his copy-now that's Scottishness for you)

cinnamongreyhound · 16/12/2013 18:21

Never heard of the Broons, will have ask my mum.

I watched a Christmas film today instead of doctors, only remembered at 1.40 that it wasn't on :( I do like a Christmas film, however rubbish!

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 16/12/2013 18:39

My mum and brother used to be really into Our Wullie and The Broons. I used to make a point of not being into them as I was a Contrary Mary.
