This is a thread for all lovers of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm. All welcome, newbies, regulars, lurkers. Let me entertain you with a festive song:

The 12 Days of Doctors Christmas
On the twelfth day of Christmas
My true love sent to me
Twelve Mandy's fretting
Eleven Chris's whinging
Ten Jimmi's washing
Nine Heston's scripting
Eight Barry's peering
Seven Daniel's flirting
Six Zara's glaring
Five paaaa-tients!
Four sad Robs
Three pies for Al
Two Karens
And a tabard in a pear tree

Xmas Smile Xmas Smile Xmas Smile

The apostrophe police will have a field day with that one ^

(Private note to Kev: go on.....show me your baubles! Xmas Grin)

Bloody Valerie, just bugger off now!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 07/01/2014 14:12

Yes, cinnamon, me too. I don't think she does though, Ood*.

Detective Valerie!

The rioters ran off pretty quickly considering no one was actually nearby, would have thought they'd given him a proper good beating.

Gobbyplod waking up in the eighties, now there's a storyline Grin

Hope he wakes up :(

Hope Karen realises she loves him, somewhere deep down

She has to get vaguely back to normal surely?

Report
AnneEyhtMeyer · 07/01/2014 14:15

Yes, curly, and have Gene Hunt wandering around outside the police station!

So Karen regains her memory just as Rob loses his? What are the odds on that do you think?

Report
cinnamongreyhound · 07/01/2014 14:19

Daniel made a comment about Cherry during the panto MrsReiver which lead to them arguing on stage and Jimmi trying to kiss Zara back stage. This seems to have led to his OCD getting worse.

Thanks Cinnamon!

Right- catching up. Traumatic morning, with dd2 starting nursery. And she didn't even miss me, dammit!!Grin

By 1pm my head was pounding, and i forgot all about DoctorsShockGrin

So, the return of Gobbyplod, and Jimmi's ocd.

And a smarmy big headed plod- there's a new one.

Report
Raahh · 07/01/2014 20:11

Can a special be left in charge of a potential riot.

It's a pretty poor episode- I don't like the camera work, it's making my eyes funny.

And I care very little about Jimmi to care about his OCD.
Girl with strange gurning face, definitely a wrong'un.

Bloody hell I've just seen the time on your post Raahh. I've only been in from work an hour and its already 8 o'clock. Must catch up.

Little traitor not missing you. Grin

Uh-oh- the bloke Jimmi didn't treat is in a bad way. And he wasn't even pretending to do proper CPR.

Will there now be a long drawn out (at least 2 week) investigation? Of course Ratboy will get off, being the Ian beale/Ken Barlow elect of Soapland.

Grin

Juniper I know- after I hardly slept, and everythingGrin

She was very cute though.

The following hour long tantrum because I wouldn't take her to Sainsburys, after we had already been to Costa was less endearing. Grin

I don't think anyone cares about the bloody Churchill estate. It's always boring when they focus on it.

Can someone help? I watched doctors today for the first time in ages. I didn't see Karen, so has she regained her memory and gone back to her husband? And the guy who was in charge of the surgery (used to be in Emmerdale) how is he suddenly a policeman?

Report
Raahh · 07/01/2014 20:19

Poor Rob- he doesn't need all this. With his amnesiac wife and all that.

Report
JuniperWindfly · 07/01/2014 20:20

Ooops, I name changed. It's Clay,in case you were wondering.

Doctors can't keep up a storyline for more than two episodes. Two week investigation is unlikely I think.

Report
Raahh · 07/01/2014 20:21

primrose- Karen still hasn't regained her memory, no.

And TBFE (The Bloke From Emmerdale)- well, over night around September, he became a Special. We didn't see him train much. His first 'job' was a disaster, and sparked off the eating disorder. Which now appears to have been forgotten.

In other words- we're confused tooGrin

Report
Raahh · 07/01/2014 20:22

Clay/Juniper- I did wonder. We so rarely get fresh blood new recruits. Grin

They are little madams - DD never misses me either! Glad it all went well for her though, Raahh.

The police-focussed episodes are always dull.

Jimmi is the Ian / Ken of Doctors, you are spot on there, Raahh. I really really want him to go. At least they haven't made us endure his singing lately. We have to be grateful for small mercies.

It came from the fairy name generator linked to on another thread. Not sure I like it.

Report
Raahh · 07/01/2014 20:30

I was Briar Shadow-something on the Fairy name thing.

I want to be a fairy.

Great riot. 6 people rioting, 6 plods. One a special. No expense spared. Grin

And then they beat Gobby plod upSad

Hope he's ok.
