BBC2, 8.30pm. Monica is back. Michel is back. Sadly, Greg is also back, but we can't have everything. This is my favourite Masterchef variant, so I am a happy bunny.

Right result again, I think. Scott's extra four years of experience really told. Sorry to see David go, but again I think Tom held it together a bit better on the night.

So who will be knocked out on Monday? As long as it's not Adam, I don't really mind. He seemed to be doing something fearsome with a fishhead in the trail.

That cut was the Chef Patron's fault - he was suggesting to Luke that he should know how many times to grate the veg as he knows how many bits he'll need. Thus putting Luke into thinking about numbers and taking his mind off the slicing! The suggestion was good, the timing was not.

And the day before, it was partly about numbers - giving a chef one timer to do timings, without explaining the strategy of how to do this.

Hi All - my DP is wondering what brand of appliances they use on Masterchef professionals. He likes the look of their blender... anyone any idea? Sorry if this has already been discussed... its a long thread!!!

I only know about the pans. They are MY pans! Circulon. Wonderful things.

I think the blender is the thermamix.

Which is highly spendy.

I loved seeing Scott's huge, beaming smile when he won, he is so craggy and reserved normally.

I'm very torn between him and Adam to win...

Luke's utter lack of expression on his face continued to amuse. Under terrible stress, happy with his work, confused, stressed, he maintained the same gormless thousand-yard stare. Then at the end he'd obviously been crying, and I felt so sad for him...

What's the format tonight then?

I'm getting excited about tonight as they have another invention test, but instead of the usual fabulous ingredients they have a box of scraps and left overs. Inspired.

Oh great. I'll finally find out how to make Brussels sprout ketchup sous-vide

I think the box includes a fish head, stale bread and over ripe fruit, but I didn't see any mention of brussel sprouts.

Lol . I am being naughtily facetious turkey. I secretly lurrve masterchef and can't wait. An invention test with leftovers is brilliant. They should do that in all the mc versions
