BBC2, 8.30pm. Monica is back. Michel is back. Sadly, Greg is also back, but we can't have everything. This is my favourite Masterchef variant, so I am a happy bunny.

OP posts:

And valutes (sp?)...

SconeForAStroll · 28/11/2013 12:07

And vanilla with potato. :o

How long till someone makes a potato pannacotta do you think?!

I would love to eat at Le Gavroche. But the rest of my family are of the "no food must touch!" Brigade. This makes me v.sad.

Tee2072 · 28/11/2013 12:29

If I had £190 I'd meet you at La Gavroche any time, Scone!

worldgonecrazy · 28/11/2013 13:02

Le Gavroche do a really good value lunchtime set menu, if you really want to go.

Pegfreak · 28/11/2013 13:33

Foam looks like cat sick. Not all cat sick looks like foam though, it has to be said.

Do you think pancetta would work for those wee potato cake thingumies Michel made last night? Did he say what temp the oven was at?

Tee2072 · 28/11/2013 13:56

No, no temps and no timings! I'm sure pancetta would be fine.

Tee2072 · 28/11/2013 15:47

I might miss tonight as my son suddenly realized the Christmas fair was tonight.

Stupid school must have been talking about it all day because he was totally oblivious until today!

Pegfreak · 28/11/2013 15:50

Oh no, can you record it Tee?

I thought he'd said 20 minutes for the wee cake thingies - I'll just keep an eye on it and bring it out before it gets as black as whatsisname's was Grin

Tee2072 · 28/11/2013 15:52

We might be back in time. If not I'll watch it on iPlayer!

SconeForAStroll · 28/11/2013 15:58

Now that would be my kind of meet up - a lunchtime scoff at Le Gavroche!

I am sure that he said 20 minutes for the little potato cake things. i have tried a google but none look right :(

Pegfreak · 28/11/2013 16:30

Thank you, Scone. I'll just blag it Wink

Ha ha, I've just remembered Grin - I've been neither here nor there about Monica but last night she said something that made me decide I luffs her. When Greg said about ... Adam, was it? ... "I don't know" and Monica gave one of her looks and said "I know!". Ha! Grin

Tee2072 · 28/11/2013 16:36

Cool, now all I need is a plane ticket to London and I'll meet you there Scone!

Cremolafoam · 28/11/2013 18:10

Oh count me in too. Lunch at michels and dinner at Hestons?Grin - dh would think it was a wild waste of cash.

I am fascinated by the pommes Savoyarde. I don't think i want raisins in it thoughWink do you think they are an intrinsic element ?

Cremolafoam · 28/11/2013 20:24

I am beginning to think Mr Smoke in A Dome is a plant. He's in a whole different league. They love him

colleysmill · 28/11/2013 20:29

He definitely seems to be doing better than the others.

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 28/11/2013 20:29

He looks an unlikely winner as the winners usually look as though they've not seen daylight and fresh air for years.

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 28/11/2013 20:33

Mussels and vanilla!

Cremolafoam · 28/11/2013 20:36

Again with the vanilla and velouté
Sheesh
And basil. So much basil. Sick of the sight of pesto-ish things
And cauliflower caviar.
And pansies.

SconeForAStroll · 28/11/2013 20:44

vanilla again!

SconeForAStroll · 28/11/2013 20:47

Monica's look of utter horror is priceless.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/11/2013 20:48

If only he'd done tarragon for the main and vanilla for the pud.

SconeForAStroll · 28/11/2013 20:52

Adam is rather adorable when he's flustered.

bugdem · 28/11/2013 20:53

Massive Adam fan here. So glad the critics like him too!

colleysmill · 28/11/2013 20:55

I could sooo eat his pudding now (but probably x 3)

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/11/2013 20:56

Yay for Adam. I'd go to his restaurant. I liked the single salt crystal.
