I'm still stupidly excited about the 'new' Troughton episodes, but just to add to the fun, Watch are showing some seriously classic episodes today from 2pm. Any else watching? And what are you looking forward to as we approach the anniversary episode and beyond?

I unashamedly sobbed like a ickle wickle baby. Punched the air for Capaldi, sobbed and sobbed all through Tom's bit so missed most of the dialogue.

Doctor 1 - Hartnell could have known about the destruction of Gallifrey... He was there to save Gallifrey in that episode... so how did he know to do that either?

It means that at some other point in the linear timeline of the doctor's life, Doctor 9, 11, or 12 had to come into contact with him. Or even 13...

And I loved Billie's role / character!

I did think that was really, really great. But - I have questions.

1 - in a Master episode, some Galifreyans appeared through some sort of vortex - I can't remember why but Pierce Brosnan was definitely there. How, if they were frozen in time/space? DH says they came from pre-Time War, but that makes no sense.

2 - Why no mention of the Master? Had he left Galifrey before then?

DD is a massive Dr Who fan and I've always watched it with her but both of us were disappointed in the last series.

That was EPIC though! Loved it (and I understood most of it) .

But yeah, it pissed all over RTD's finale.

I was going to say something about Tom Baker being older than when he regenerated into Peter Davison, so actually doesn't fit in properly with the idea that he is his previous self.

The three from today could have gone back and told them when and where to be.

But they did say they wouldn't remember once they left that timeline.

But they could have gone back before we saw any of it, HMDUC.
