I'm still stupidly excited about the 'new' Troughton episodes, but just to add to the fun, Watch are showing some seriously classic episodes today from 2pm. Any else watching? And what are you looking forward to as we approach the anniversary episode and beyond?

Yes, Hurt became Ecclestone

Good things:
John hurt almost regenerating into ecclestone
The doctors being snippy with each other. Especially hurt being curmudgeonly and complaining about 'timey-Wimey'
Capaldi getting a nod, even though he's not here yet.
The curator.
Lots of nice little nods to the past. Coal hill.
Bad things:
Lumpy plot.
Big red button...
Jack harkness bequeathing his time travelly thing to the black room
No river (wasn't expecting river, but, you know)

I think I was just expecting more because of the whole lead up.

They said the zygons planet was destroyed in the time war. If the past was changed maybe their planet wasn't destroyed so the new timeline doesn't have them needing a new home and so trying to conquer earth????

If I'm utterly honest I did get a bit muddled with some of the zygon scenes. More scary daleks would have been good.

But it was still stunning.

I thought it was already understood that Hurt becomes Ecclestone? We saw McGann become Hurt and Eccleston is post time war.

Eccelston is actually 10.
Tennant is actually 11.
Smith is actually 12.
Capaldi is actually 13.
