Starting a new thread as I used up the last two messages on the last one. Also this is my first thread I've ever started! A great subject to start with.

Now why is Owen considering getting involved with Phelan after the last thing where he wouldn't pay him and he had to steal the motorbike? Is Phelan not dodgy? It have I missed something?

No idea Nugget, but ye he was dodgy, they all want to make a quick buck, but I can already see the screaming and shouting from Anna about it when it goes wrong

Hayley dies on Monday.

I now tune out all the Owen / Anna / Fay / Other boring family members. It is like an advert break. I just do something else while they are on.

eddie I am so glad to hear that. The whole storyline is just mawkish "look at how sad this is - cry! cry!" drivel. Wish it were tomorrow, actually, because the crap Saint Hayley and the strawberries storyline has pushed me over the edge.

Oh yes. I agree. Hurry up and die Hayley. I'm sick of seeing your crying (sans tears) face and you sniping at Roy and everyone else. I'm sick of the stupid made up suddenly-so-close faux family of ty-fiz-hope-ruby-ches-ches gf. I'm just sick of the whole thing. I'm with Anne on this one. This story started off beautifully but it's panned out badly. Get gone hayls.

Ah, Baking, it is good to know I am not alone in my cold-heartedness. Yes, the suddenly close "family" - bloody nonsense. The only thing I am dreading about her death is all the crap afterwards with the funeral and mawkish sentimentality about how lovely she was.

Chesney's pop-up creche? I suppose he could always use the dog collars and leads left over from his old market stall to stop them all from running away.

I remember now. The knickers she made for cheating Beth were so good that when Carla found out she offered dull girlfriend a job.

My hatred of fuzz and ty-bone has resurfaced. I can't stand them all over Hayley like some grief leeches. Why is fuzz in the middle of every big storyline? And where are their bloody kids?

I quite like Fizz and Ty - they've sort of become Mr and Mrs Normal - by Corrie standards. Wasn't Fizz fostered by Hayley and Roy, in which case she would be close to them.

Whatever happened with the Faye & her friend's bullying storyline? Didn't seem to have any closure.

The jam thing, the Ken thing, the missing children thing, the random disappearances and reappearances are taking Corrie perilously close to Acorn Antiques territory ...

Oh yes, I'd forgotten Fay and the bullying thing!!! That sort of just fizzled out.

I think the bullying went 'too far' when they put Simon in a dress and make up. Then Faye got her friend in trouble at school with the vid on the phone and I think they fell out. Also Faye had to tell the police what happened didnt she? All that prob put a stop to their friendship.

I guess they will know one way or another what to do about Ken very soon.
