Starting a new thread as I used up the last two messages on the last one. Also this is my first thread I've ever started! A great subject to start with.

Looks like I'm on my own with this but I actually enjoyed the Christmas episode! Made me chuckle & thought the snowmen were a nice touch.

Totally agree about Michelle's top though - was hideous.

Had to laugh at Hayley and Roy turning up late for the hospital appt,

"Oh that's ok Hayley, Dr's running late anyway so just have a seat and she'll be with you as soon as possible"

As if that would ever happen!

I actually want to do violence to Sophie. I can't bear her smug, saintly character. For a start I'd cut off that irritating hair. Why can't she go to London like Rosie? Hope she doesn't begin a 'relationship' with the homeless girl.

I hope Hayley dies soon too, uncomfortable and upsetting storyline, liked the scenes with Carla tonight - Peter and Tina on the other hand - not so much!!! Really don't think they work as a couple, they have known each other for years yet never batted at an eyelid at each other and now Tina is madly in love with him after five mins!! And as if they'd be laid naked on soda together when Carla is just accross the road and Hayley didn't want to see her so technically she could walk back in any minute!! Daft!

Hate Tracey, wish they'd get shot of her!! Pointless character.

Oh and on another random note, in a previous episode Leanne asked for two coffees to take out of cafe, why would she do that when that have a fancy coffee machine at bistro with probably much better coffee? more realistic if she bought a couple of Eccles cakes, doubt they have those in the bistro!!

The Tina story is just stupid. Suddenly she lives Peter and Carla can't stop gushing about her. I like Carla but I have no sympathy for her.

My biggest bug bear at the moment is kylie. We can't watch it without screaming at the tv. She's intensely dislikeable, a horrible self centred vindictive person full of self pity. Why doesn't she fuck off to Barbados with becky?!

Is anyone else having trouble watching tonight's (Monday) episode on ITV Player? I'm sure there was an episode or two, but there's no sign on the website?

My Sky+ picked up an hour long episode at 7.30, so it was broadcast, maybe a glitch on ITV player?

It's there on the App. Says Yesterday because it's past midnight, which confused me for a moment.

Dev has to go he is one dimensional (comical and dull), ditto Brian (thank God he has gone!), Tracey also dull and only out for herself etc although I think she is a pretty good actress but has had her moment (ie wacking lushCharlie on the head).

The other thing I don't get is why Steve is being so indignant about his new friendship with college bird ( I forget her name) surely he would realise he has form form cheating?

Kylie's character is getting predictable ie get pissed all the time (Becky reminder?).

Also think the Peter/Tina thing is a bit unbelievable although she is on the rebound (must remind myself its NOT real !)

But Hayley/Roy acting is truly fab. Brings a tear to my eye love the scene between Carla and Hayley. Also think Fiz and Tyrone are great too.

Can't really join in as I live overseas and we're about a year and a half behind in the story line i.e. the fallout from Carla moving in with Peter is just starting.

Frank Foster is still in it (but I know what happens).

I know that Sunita dies when the Rovers burns down and Karl is at fault. I know that Hayley dies of breast cancer. There have been other spoiler alerts (and things that I've deliberately looked up such as the Tyrone relationship saga, fortunately the right person ends up in prison and he ends up with Fiz. Which is only right.

I hated peter and awful Tina tonight. I wanted them to get caught.
And rob's body was just eugggghhhh

Oh poor Roy & Hayley. I find myself willing her to make it til the daffs blossom and I worry about Roy when she dies. Will he cope alone? It has all been so wonderfully acted.

I am slso sad Tina will be leaving. I hoped she's stay behind the bar of the Rovers for 40 years and become the new Bet Lynch with the same mix of intelligence, sharp tongue and vulnerability. Not to mention thevover sized earrings.

Find it difficult to have ant sympathy for Gail, Nick, David or Kylie. A plague on all their houses.

Why do the writers think we want to see becky part 2 with kylie. The self destruct storyline was done to absolute death with becky and its an exact repeat with kylie. It's rubbish. The Xmas episode was weird. Andrea was in and out twice. Who manages to find two taxis on Xmas day?! The snowball fight was fun but as if Beth et al would be able to build two immaculate ten feet tall snowmen in 10 minutes.

The snow was completely melted and no sign of it by the next morning as well.

I'd hoped Tina would be a long term fixture as well, but two many far-fetched storylines in quick succession (Japanese friend, Kirsty feud, Terry Duckworth business, surrogacy, now Peter) have put paid to that, I don't blame her for wanting to leave.

Can't see where they can go with Dev either, but he has been in that situation for years and they have managed to keep resuscitating his character.

Does being in wetherfield mean that stale fag smell is an irresistable aphrodisiac? It is the only way I can imagine Peter and Deirdre getting as much action as they do (although deirdre not so much recently, but I am still traumatised at her and Dev in bed together).
Also if I found my boyfriend washing bedclothes and furiously cleaning couch at night I might be asking why.

I did enjoy the double entendre when Carla came back to the flat just in time to interrupt Peter and Tina
