Starting a new thread as I used up the last two messages on the last one. Also this is my first thread I've ever started! A great subject to start with.

OP posts:

And he has the mortgage on the house...

NuggetofPurestGreen · 17/12/2013 02:13

I'm on holidays in Australia and there was an old
Corrie on today (I'd say ten years old, Roseh is a goth teen and going out with Richard Fleeshman). Anyway Jason and Eileen were having a row about how she loves Todd more. So nothing's changed in the last ten year then in terms of plot!

(Yes I realise there's probably better things to do over here than watch old corries on uktv!)

Can anyone tell me what happened when he went into the police station. We had a visitor so missed the rest.

MrsSippie · 17/12/2013 13:12

Nick arrived and persuaded him not to do it.

alemci · 17/12/2013 14:32

I think David has had a few episodes over the years e.g. Gail down the stairs, car in canal at some point.

I agree though, it is his house and Kylie was unfaithful and is pretty ghastly imo

Clawdy · 17/12/2013 14:40

Some dreadful over acting from Julie last night. That scene where she grabbed Eileen and wailed in anguish was beyond cringey.

alemci · 17/12/2013 14:52

wish she had gone to Wales. sounded like a better life style than working in the factory plus she is irritating

squoosh · 17/12/2013 15:22

I can't believe Julie is only supposed to be 36.

eddiemairswife · 17/12/2013 15:33

I've mentioned this before, but I can't see how Brian can give up his headship and go to Wales without serving his notice. However, there is now a vacancy at Bessie Street School for the next out of work resident to take up ....... as everyone knows you don't need the appropriate job qualifications in Soapland!

AnnieOats · 18/12/2013 09:39

Thanks MrsSippie.

BlatantTheRedheadedReindeer · 18/12/2013 20:58

Clawdy Eileen's expression during the grabbing and wailing was funny though Grin

JodieGarberJacob · 19/12/2013 01:03

I kept hoping Brian was going to give into Julie's yearning for a child and they'd go off to Wales and live happily ever after but after revealing himself as such a petty man tonight she's definitely better off without him.

Tina Tina Tina what are you like? I've always respected you
in the past but not now! Leave the 'spoken for' men alone! Although it's quite exciting in a way. Peter's face when Carla told him about Tina and Rob was a picture!

Nospringchickendipper · 19/12/2013 15:05

I thought that Deirdre was supposed to be in Canada with Ken.Tracey said that she was out with Amy.
Have I missed an episode.

JodieGarberJacob · 19/12/2013 19:11

Yes, I thought that was a bit weird as well!

Ellenora5 · 19/12/2013 20:26

Nope I coped that aswell, someone is forgetting the storylines Grin

Bakingnovice · 20/12/2013 15:00

Julie is not 36!!!!!! She just can't be.

RubberBaubles · 20/12/2013 20:36

They remembered where Deirdre was tonight Xmas Grin

Ellenora5 · 20/12/2013 21:20

Grin they sure did Rubberbaubles

They need to get rid of Kylie now, she is just ridiculous at this stage

Wishfulmakeupping · 20/12/2013 21:39

It's struggling along now hopefully after Xmas they'll be some new storyline a starting- I'm bored of Peter/Tina/Carla already.
When are Stella and gloria going? I thought they were selling the pub then moving on? Such a shame they didn't do more with sue Johnston she's so talented

Lighthousekeeping · 20/12/2013 22:39

Is it definite they are going? I like them both.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/12/2013 23:02

Anyone watching Text Santa? Corrie sings Fairytale of New York? I think it is fair to say that no one in the Corrie cast will be leaving to embark on a pop career in the near future. I've never heard such a droning tuneless bunch of people.

Hayley dragged the whole thing down to a dreary, sentimental dirge. I can't wait for her to die.

Iwantacampervan · 21/12/2013 08:15

So, yet another unrealistic school performance :

  • as many guests as possible can come and at the last minute;
  • there didn't seem to be that many chairs out/hall not full;
  • no one was there to watch Amy but then she seems to have disappeared (Tracy didn't seem to remember it was on);
  • only a handful of children on stage or maybe only two children from each class take part;
  • Simon has been the same part every year. Surely by now(we assume he's year 6) he would be something else;
  • Deirdre has returned but not seen.
I wonder who will get the Head's job - David could do with work or Tina (as she's become a childminder).
alemci · 21/12/2013 08:57

Yes usually the Nativity is Y1/Y2 not juniors IME. Amy has been forgotten again for the next few years'. At least ghastly Fay wasn't involved.

Also what time was it because the gig? in the Bistro seemed to suggest evening yet it was afternoon at the Nativity.

Lighthousekeeping · 23/12/2013 20:19

That Tina is getting on my wick and why has Peter turned like that? He was adamant a minute ago that he wanted nothing to do with her.

The rogue property developer storyline is boring my tits off already?
