at Cilla! Beth is definitely a Cilla-esque character. For the first time in ages I am actually saving tonight's 'til work finished as the storylines much better - didn't bother for several weeks.

It's daft how they rehash the storylines though - Tina gets involved with a happy couple through doing a good deed, within a couple of weeks the male half of the couple is going all moony eyed over her and the couple are in jeopardy. Gary and Izzy anyone?

Todd is basically rehashing Ryan's storyline. Young lad comes back from the big city with his tail between his legs, thinks he's above everyone else and spends his days bumming money off his mother and causing her stress.

I see Marcus is leaving and it looks like Todd is involved...

Where has Ryan gone? Can anyone become a taxi-driver? Don't they have to be vetted or registered in some way?

I'm sure in soapland it doesn't matter. After all, you don't need a food hygiene certificate to work in any of the food outlets so why would taxi drivers need anything? I have never even seen them ask for a driving licence.
