Starting a new thread as I used up the last two messages on the last one. Also this is my first thread I've ever started! A great subject to start with.

Lord, Peter is on fire
And I'm glad we weren't subjected to the Anna/Leanne verbals just then.

Grin at Carla Barla. I was thinking the other day has any woman in the soaps even kept her name after getting married?!

Maybe they should start keeping all the married names and double/triple/quadruple barreling.

Carla Donovan-Connor-Gordon-Barlow

Leanne Battersby-Tilsley-Barlow-Tilsley

Gail Potter-Tilsley-Platt-Hillman-McIntyre

Rita Littlewood-Fairclough-Sullivan-Tanner

Deirdre Hunt-Langton-Barlow-Rachid-Barlow

They must spend a heck of a lot of time filling in forms and the like!

I can't think of any that have kept their own name. Anna even took Eddie's name though they weren't married.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 30/11/2013 13:06

Also agree that Hayley seems very well indeed considering. As did her friend a few weeks ago Sad.

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 30/11/2013 13:35

Shock At all those surnames!

NuggetofPurestGreen · 30/11/2013 13:49

There was an actual storyline in Home and Away the other week about a character wanting to keep her name and he husband was miffed. That's how unusual it is in soapland!

Didn't realise Eddie and Anna weren't married. WHY would you take the name Windass voluntarily when you weren't even married?! And Faye is lamped with it now as well!

I think I just spotted Auntie Pam in CasualtyGrin

walkinghaphazardlybystarlight · 01/12/2013 12:09

Shamelessly marking my place; I love Corrie Grin

I wish it was still on on a Sunday, though, I miss the days (some 10 years ago!) of seeing the weekend off with a cup of tea, a bar of chocolate and Corrie (that was when it was sponsored by Cadbury - anyone remember that!?)

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 01/12/2013 12:55

Ooh yes! The chocolate familes! I loved them- was it really that long ago? Shock

walkinghaphazardlybystarlight · 01/12/2013 13:32

I remember that being my Sunday night routine when I first bought a flat and that was 2004/2005 ish! I can't remember when it changed, though!

ajandjjmum · 01/12/2013 16:00

Then it was those stupid women on the sofa!!! Grin

fatandfifty · 02/12/2013 09:25

Roy's post Hayley recovery has been signposted, with Mary and her chess set. We even had Hayley's little smile of approval as she watched. I really want Roy and Mary to get together. She will save him from his misery, and he will save her from hers (Norris).

Pegfreak · 02/12/2013 14:12

Bloody hell, that was so ... what's the word? ... Peter trying to start the argument with Carla to justify his hots for Tina. What a shit.

As an aside, I can see why he's attracted to her. Only drinks orange juice, even mentioned the man from Del Monte ... Tangerine Tina is the next step. Grin

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 02/12/2013 14:15

Noooo!! Mary is so wrong for roy! No way would he go for her!

eddiemairswife · 02/12/2013 15:35

Mary might be a good friend for Roy, but I don't think a romantic attachment would be a possibility.

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/12/2013 16:12

I think Roy needs to be on his own after Hayley dies. Maybe he can have a v strong friendship with Mary but nothing more.

ZebraZeebra · 03/12/2013 12:01

Where has this sudden attraction between Tina and Peter come from? It feels a bit shoe horned in.

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/12/2013 12:26

Its probably because Tina doesnt have a purpose now Tommy has gone. Not that they had starring roles before. In fact Im bored of Tina she looks the same every day, same hair same hideous earrings.

JodieGarberJacob · 03/12/2013 16:46

Nothing to add because it so totally BORING at the moment.
I want a nice ding-dong over something trivial between Liz, Gloria, Eileen and Gail. Maybe at the wedding. Although do we know if there is actually a wedding?

Ellenora5 · 03/12/2013 18:12

So I suppose Dim Tim will be a permanent fixture now if he becomes the resident window washer.

I agree it's tedious at the moment, all the wedding nonsense is head wrecking.

alemci · 03/12/2013 19:05

yes boring

MoominMammasHandbag · 03/12/2013 19:11

I would like to see a Roy, Mary, Dev love triangle.
I am a bit worried now about Haylry's horrid son though.
A lovely Corrie moment recently was when Peter offered to read "Danny, Champion of the World" to Simon. Sob. Just occasionally Corrie is still spot on.

ajandjjmum · 03/12/2013 19:24

I'm liking Liz - never did before, but she seems to have slotted back in pretty well. And I think there are some decent lines appearing amongst the crap!

squoosh · 03/12/2013 20:17

Peter Barlow is listening to one of my all-time favourite songs Tom Waits' Martha.
