Starting a new thread as I used up the last two messages on the last one. Also this is my first thread I've ever started! A great subject to start with.

He's not only sad, he's pretty nasty now, which is not nice to see.

DM and I were saying (Corrie is our little ritual!) how odd that Audrey has this lovely, big house, and yet all of her family are squeezed into a sardine can. Lo and behold, she gets landed with David! Definite short straw there. Grin

eddiemairswife · 20/11/2013 22:10

Why isn't Deirdre going to Peter's wedding?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 20/11/2013 23:06

I didn't get that either eddie. Something about Ken wasn't it? Is Deirdre supposed to be gone off to Canadia or wherever Ken is or did I miss something?

What a snore fest this evening. Who cares about bloody Grace and Faye? And who wouldn't have guessed that Nick had gone to get Simon?

And why is Brian acting like a complete twat!??

OP posts:
eddiemairswife · 21/11/2013 11:15

Brian has never been believable as a Head in the current educational climate. Maybe 30 or more years ago he would have been more typical. As Simon is in Y6 and Bessie Street is fairly near why on earth does he have to be taken and collected each day?

Impomea · 21/11/2013 11:59

I agree Simon could probably walk to school on his own or go with whoever takes Max as they are family .Tina being his part time childminder is just a link to her next ridiculous storyline!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 21/11/2013 13:05

Brian has acted like a complete twat for the entire duration of his stay in the series IMO (I don't mean the actor, I mean the character). Actor does well given the atrocious scripts and bits of story he gets given.

I was wondering why Simon can't walk to school on his own. He is an odd character, when he first came along aged, what, 5 or 6 he seemed old for his age, but he doesn't seem to have matured since and now seems young for his age.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 21/11/2013 22:26

He has whoknows. Always wondered what Julie saw in him. He's a gobshite of the highest order.

I was thinking the same about weird ageless child Simon!

OP posts:
YoureBeingASillyBilly · 21/11/2013 23:37

Im getting so bored with it atm.

I wish they'd give us a real mystery with a shocker conclusion that no-one could guess. Like someone going round fitting secret cameras in all the houses then sending anonymous letters to some other neighbours telling them what norris said about mary behind her back and that jason sleeps with a teddy and the light on and it turns out to be emily bishop doing it Grin

itsonlyapapermoon · 22/11/2013 00:09

Brian annoys the hell out of me. All he does is navel gaze and bloody eat. He's like a pelican with a beak full of fish. Julie is annoying too, but I love her wardrobe :D
Hope they get rid of that awful little shit Grace soon.
Can they just kill Hayley off already? That storyline is a snoozefest too.
It's becoming a chore to watch :(

itsonlyapapermoon · 22/11/2013 00:10

Also-am convinced that Simon is actually Lloyd's illegitemate child. Grin

itsonlyapapermoon · 22/11/2013 00:11

Bah! Illegitimate.

VioletPlum · 22/11/2013 10:46

Can't Nick have a shave now he's out of hospital? I don't get how Deidre and Ken can afford to scoot off to Canada on a whim - they must have spent thousands on divorce lawyers over the years, surely there's nothing left now.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 22/11/2013 11:20

I suppose Ken & Deirdre have never paid rent or a mortgage though, living in Uncle Albert's house, so they have had plenty left over to fritter away on divorces.

I think we need another tram crash, or maybe an explosion at the garage and wipe out Sean, Grace, Faye, Stella, Hayley, Carla, Peter, Rita, Brian, Todd, Michelle, Tracey, Simon, Sophie, Jenna, Tim, Chesney and his weird girlfriend, Maria, Anna, Gary, Izzy, Katie, Kevin and Ken.

Looking at that list I really think I should stop watching. I hate virtually the entire street.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 22/11/2013 11:32

Ken and Deirdre took out a hefty mortgage to pay Tracey's legal bills for the murder case IIRC.

Anne - so you want to keep Dev?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 22/11/2013 11:40

Oh yes, I think you are right, Who.

I like Dev in a "so bad he's good" sort of way.

VioletPlum · 22/11/2013 13:12

So they must be skint then.

I'd keep Peter because he's nice to look at. And Jason. And Norris obviously Grin

All of the Platts can go, including Audrey. Tracey Luv and Rob are top of the hate list.

aliciaflorrick · 22/11/2013 13:41

I've been thinking if I lived on that street the only one I think I'd get on with is Deirdre, because she seems good for a laugh. The rest would do my head in.

Oh and possibly Eileen - before she met the fireman and was a brilliant character.

I'd tolerate Sally because she keeps the front of her house nice, and Emily because I need a babysitter.

I'd never go in the corner shop because I think Dev's a letch and he'd make my skin crawl.

I'd stay well away from all those girls in the knicker factory. In fact I'd never move to such a small street which had a factory on it. And look at the amount of businesses it's got, it's about 10 houses long. It's got two bars, it's own doctors, a garage, a knicker factory, a café, a corner shop and a newsagents. I live in a village of 1000 people and we don't even have a bar these days, everything is closed.

AnneEyhtMeyerInSilver · 22/11/2013 13:44

Oh yes, Rob is on the tram-crash / explosion list. Forgot him.

Audrey can stay because I have fond childhood memories of her as Mrs Popoff.

TimeAndRubberBulletsInSpace · 22/11/2013 14:02

Just a reminder that Sexy Steve is mine and is not allowed to leave the street but cowbag Michelle can go ASAP

AnneEyhtMeyerInSilver · 22/11/2013 14:16

Oh Sexy Steve isn't going anywhere. He is lovely.

VioletPlum · 22/11/2013 20:00

Bless you both, you do know Steve will look exactly the same after the zombie apocalypse as he does now don't you?

TimeAndRubberBulletsInSpace · 22/11/2013 20:22

You say that like it is a bad thing...

qazxc · 22/11/2013 20:42

oh feel quite sorry for simon, and usually he leaves me quite cold.

Ellenora5 · 22/11/2013 21:27

Ah poor Simon, I felt sorry for him to qazxc, but my god I had to laugh at Tracey, she thinks she has been hurt the most in all this, her selfishness knows no bounds, she doesn't even see it. I hope Faye and Grace get well punished for this, but I bet Anna lays all the blame on Grace and lets Faye away with it.

VioletPlum · 22/11/2013 21:52

You say that like it is a bad thing
