I'm soooo excited
I cannot wait til DC's bedtime tonight!

OP posts:
TotemPole · 22/09/2013 18:32

I think I read it would be about 60 mins without the ads.

GatoradeMeBitch · 22/09/2013 18:55

Still longer than usual though Smile

Cooroo · 22/09/2013 18:59

Me too Pombear! I think Jesse will use science to take out the lab, the non-health-and-safety-conscious Uncles of Anarchy and probably himself because life is no longer livable (especially if the nazis have harmed Brock and Andrea). The uber polite psycho Todd may survive in his protective gear. ("I'm sorry for your loss" - ugh!)

sickofsocalledexperts · 22/09/2013 19:09

I didnt get why he was being so nasty on the phone either, am too dim for this prog!

Agree Jessie would never harm a child. What about Marie to kill Walt - Hank was her life.

I had a row with DH about how clever it was that I ended up liking Mike most of all (given his job, hitman to gangsters) but DH swore Mike only ever killed when he had no other choice.

TotemPole · 22/09/2013 20:05

Maria trying to kill Walt is a good theory. She mentioned to her therapist that she'd been looking at poisons online. Hank's death could be what pushes her to do it. But she ends up poisoning the wrong person or herself.

AlannaPartridge · 22/09/2013 21:54

Yeah - I can see Marie killing Walt as well & she'd also consider that she'd be doing Skyler & the children a favour too.

Why Walt went to get the ricin is a puzzler. Why do you need poison if you've got an M60 in your boot? Maybe it's all to do with Marie searching for an untraceable poison? Walt makes it easy for her?

And I love the idea of Jesse causing an explosion in the lab a la the pilot. It would show just show much he's learnt from Walt.

GatoradeMeBitch · 22/09/2013 22:11

Have you all seen this? Walt 'singing' My Way. Such a brilliant video!

AlannaPartridge · 22/09/2013 22:23

That is absolutely fantastic, Gatorade Grin

I got a bit of a lump in my throat watching that. I'm am sooooooooo going to miss this show :(

misslaughalot · 23/09/2013 11:20

That's amazing Gatorade! Only 9 hours until DP is home and DD is in bed and we can watch today's episode...!

IfYouLoveSomebodyLetThemSleep · 23/09/2013 14:00

Ok so I caved and watched the new one. I'm still at a loss to figuring out how it ends!

It does look as if Walt has got some of his evil energy back and will become Heisenburg again. God knows what he'll do though or how he'll get back. Is it bad that I still really want Walt to get away with everything? That phone call to Walt JR had me welling up. He's done so much to help his family and I know he's gone about it all the wrong way, but his heart is in the right place. I'm such an enabler!

I cried at the Jesse scene :( hope they don't hurt Brock but I doubt they will.

The last episode has got to come down to a showdown between Walt and Jesse, it started with them and it has to end that way IMO.

IfYouLoveSomebodyLetThemSleep · 23/09/2013 14:16

Just put 2 and 2 together and realised that takes us up to the flash forward. That Ricin isn't going to kill all of uncle Jacks army, Walt must have something up his sleeve

Snowballed · 23/09/2013 16:13

I feel for Jesse :( I think he will now side with Walt when he turns up to kill the Nazis & get his money back.

Have also seen an observation that ricin can be used to cure/treat cancer. That's maybe a bit far out even for BB though!

I think there may be some blood shed next week ;) but I do hope both Jesse & Walt survive

StrangerintheNight · 23/09/2013 18:35

Have nothing to add re the latest episode. It's all too depressing.

For those who haven't seen, there's a Mythbusters Breaking Bad special on the Discovery channel featuring Vince Gilligan and Aaron Paul, which I'm hoping will cheer me up tonight.

DevlinMaccabee · 23/09/2013 20:37

How close did poor Jesse come to escaping the nazis? Poor Andrea and Brock :(

I hope Lydia gets it next, when she turns down Meth Damon's advances, I cannot stand her.

GatoradeMeBitch · 23/09/2013 21:44

What happened with poor Brock? I thought they would have shown him being kidnapped. Surely if he's left alone he will be take in to the care system so Jesse won't have to worry about him getting murdered?

The finale will be spoiled for me if the Lydia/Todd thing goes where I think it might. That would just be too grim, it would overshadow everything else. My guess is that she will be in danger from Todd, and Jesse manages to rescue her.

Cooroo · 23/09/2013 22:06

Surely now Jesse will go out in a blaze of chemistry taking the uncles with him? And is Walt travelling all that way to kill Mr Grey Matter? That was grim watching. I was holding my breath for poor Jesse. How on earth did he lift up that hatch?

GatoradeMeBitch · 23/09/2013 22:18

Surely there's not enough time next week for Gretchen and the other one to get murdered? That is something I would quite like to see though!

SinisterSal · 23/09/2013 22:41

Lydia isn't much of a character, is she?

GatoradeMeBitch · 23/09/2013 22:56

She could be better. I don't know why she is a bag of nerves, it doesn't seem logical that someone like that would get into such a high risk business - unless she started to fall apart over time. It also makes no sense that she is ruthless enough to order multiple murders, but she can't stand to see blood. I don't like the way the women on the show are all so weak and emotional. Lydia could have been an awesome ball-busting character.

Pitmountainpony · 24/09/2013 00:12

Jesse has got to do something chemistry death related in the meth lab surely? As for Lydia- oh we so know she is going to get it- something connected to money-dying in a pile of money- or something. She is repulsive in her business like greedy thirst for making money at any cost....no Lydia has to go and she has to go in a way that makes us feel better because she is so horrible and a moral and sociopathic....walt will survive but for what kind of life.....

Pitmountainpony · 24/09/2013 00:16

Pom bear- why would you not want a nasty end for Lydia- she is despicable and has no qualms about anyone meeting a nasty end so long as she is ok.....she is like a metaphor for all the disgusting greed of big business when it has no conscience.Let us not forget drugs are one of the biggest if illegal businesses in the world along with porn...both exploiting people and destroying lives/minds.
Bring on the nasty end for Lydia- there is no way a character that despicable can survive. As an audience we will be outraged.

AlannaPartridge · 24/09/2013 05:37

I really have no clue what's going to happen but my predictions are:

  1. Jesse makes it somehow
  2. Walt never sees his kids again
  3. He'll kill himself, but in some sort of sacrificial act
  4. Jesse & Walt will somehow make their peace
  5. After Walt is dead Jesse speaks to Walt Jr to tell him his father pleaded for Hank's life. Seeing the two "sons" together talking could be a good ending
  6. I don't think the Schwartz's will show up again - I think they were a device to clue Walt in to the fact that Jesse is still alive & cooking blue meth. The ricin is not for them
  7. Maybe there'll be some suggestion that Jesse becomes the new Heisenberg/Fring - but I hope not. I want a better future for him than that.

This is probably all complete crap. I am never right. Ever.

anon2013 · 24/09/2013 08:27

Screaming in my head at the tv last night when Todd, you know Sad Sad Sad Sad

tobiasfunke · 24/09/2013 08:52

The ricin maybe for Walt himself but I would love it for that Elliott and that Gretchen with her wispy voice and her pashminas.

Todd's not doing anything that Walt and Fring and Tuco didn't do. Killing people off who might be bad for business. His soft spot isn't Lydia it's Walt. Hence Skyler living to look shellshocked another day. I wonder if that isn't going to be his downfall as well. Trusting in good old Mr White.I also think there'll be some sort of phosphine gas type thing at the lab to neatly bookend beginning and end. Maybe Walt will take his gasmask off this time and let Jesse escape.

AlannaPartridge · 24/09/2013 09:06

The bloke playing Todd is a really, really superb actor.

His smile when he listened to Jesse talk about how he (Todd) killed Drew Sharpe Shock. Really chilling.
