WHY did Walt say that to Jessie about Jane, just cruelty? He didn't have to hand him over to The Nazi Uncles to be tortured and killed either. Wasn't it only last week he was dithering about killing him, wanting it clean etc?
It makes no sense to me, didn't ring true.

Patchouli · 21/09/2013 16:50

I think he's angry with Jesse for bringing Hank out to the desert.
He blames him for Hank's death.

It didn't ring true to me either, but thinking about it, he said it after he sufferered losses to two of the most important things to him: family and money for the family. And he does have a tendency to blame other people for things.

As for Gus and his restaurant - maybe that one was his unofficial headquarters for non chicken related meetings (certainly seemed that way), and his professionalism all part of his cover/hiding in plain sight.

IfYouLoveSomebodyLetThemSleep · 21/09/2013 18:08

Maybe that bit was a set up to something that happens in the next episode. Either that or he's hurting over Hank.

I think I'm going to leave the next episode and then watch the last 2 as a double bill. I don't think I could handle how good the next one will be and not have the ending straight away after.

It should be easy to avoid the internet for a week, right?

NigellasGuest · 21/09/2013 19:07

I'd love to start watching this but I heard it's only on Sky - should i start by ordering DVDs of Series 1?

IfYouLoveSomebodyLetThemSleep · 21/09/2013 19:12

It's on Netflix Nigella. It's only £5.99 a month and you get all of breaking bad, loads of other tv series and loads of films to watch as much as you want.
I promise I don't work for them, I just think it's really good!

NigellasGuest · 21/09/2013 19:18

DD1 has been on and on at me to get Netflix for about a year!

misslaughalot · 21/09/2013 19:36

Netflix is AMAZING. We're ditching our Sky subscription when we move house in a couple of weeks. £65 a month for Sky versus £5.99 a month for Netflix. No brainer.

sickofsocalledexperts · 21/09/2013 19:39

Agree that Netflix is the best and cannot wait till Monday, for the penultimate ep.

Does anyone else find that their BB addiction has grown and grown with each series? Series 1 I was a bit meh, but now I am a total addict. I miss Gus Fring - things ran smoother when Gus was in charge, psychotic villain or not!

AlannaPartridge · 21/09/2013 21:50

Nigella Yes, get Netflix - first month is free. But please, please stop reading this thread. BB is fantastic, but it's at it's most fantastic when you have no idea what's going to happen :)

sick It's possible that Gus will be in the new Better Call Saul show - the actor said he's interested, I believe. Would love to know more about him.

I expect that I'm the only person who didn't know these existed Blush, but just before Season 2 aired they released 5 "minisodes" about 5 mins long giving extra glimpses into the characters lives. They are all really funny and worth a watch:

PomBearArmy · 21/09/2013 22:35

DNR thread because I'm not fully caught up. Can someone tell me how up to date UK Netflix is?

I got USA Netflix because I wanted to watch this crappy show called Say yes to the dress, but the US one only goes halfway through Season Five.

I have gone through the whole show up to that point in a month. It's getting so grim now I can hardly bear it. Mike's death upset me, and the little boy on the dirtbike, and I hate Walter now. I'm literally going to carry on watching because I want to see him die!! (No, I'm not Skyler!)

AlannaPartridge · 21/09/2013 22:39

It's uploading the brand new episodes about 12 hours after they air in the US, Pom.

So, right this second, every single BB episode is up.

PomBearArmy · 21/09/2013 22:59

I actually got USA Netflix because I thought it would have them all! Great! My Sunday is planned Smile

NigellasGuest · 21/09/2013 23:09

so I got netflix after your advice and have watched Series 1 episodes 1-4 in a row. Tempted to go for the 5th now, I'm already addicted!!! but will vacate this thread due to not wanting to know what happens! Can't believe it just gets better!

AlannaPartridge · 21/09/2013 23:17

Envy at Nigella who still has all the really, really good stuff to come!

Enjoy :)

Pitmountainpony · 22/09/2013 04:14

So how is it all going to end....Jessie has got to get all of Walter,s family surely? Walt survives with no money and no family.....all of it for naught. I went to a panel with the cast and creater Vince Gilligan who wrote the twlight and x files as a new writer, after season one, and they spoke about how the story has to morally conclude in a satisfying way...something like that so we have to see Walt suffer I guess for all he has done.....the cast and writers seemed like the nicest people...totally thrilled at the success of the show and excited by the buzz around it.....it was really touching somehow. Penultimate episode airs Sunday here.....we are even coming back from Disney early to see it!! So brilliant.

Cooroo · 22/09/2013 08:16

If Jesse has been so warped he could kill Walt jr and baby Holly I will be very unhappy. I'd be ok with him killing Walt however.

AlannaPartridge · 22/09/2013 09:33

I think the very, very last thing Jesse would ever do is hurt Walt Jr and Holly. No way. Every single disaster that's happened has been because of Jesse's reaction to people hurting/killing children.

PomBearArmy · 22/09/2013 10:14

I agree. Walt at his worst could do that kind of thing to someone's family (and he did poison a child), but Jesse couldn't.

I've cancelled my plans for today so I can get up to date with the last few episodes! I can't understand why UK Netflix has them all but USA doesn't!

StrangerintheNight · 22/09/2013 12:51

I reckon some kind of explosion's going to happen in the lab, either caused by Jesse to escape, or by Walt for revenge on the gang. There'd be symmetry with the pilot episode, and they've already teased it by having Uncle Jack refuse to wear a gas mask.

(Didn't look like Jesse was given a gas mask either, but let's not think about that...)

Elsiequadrille · 22/09/2013 14:44

Agree. I can't see Jesse seeking retribution through Walt's family.

TotemPole · 22/09/2013 15:00

I was wondering if Skylar and the children are put in some sort of witness protection after Walt's 'threatening' phone call and that's how the house ends up empty and run down.

PomBearArmy · 22/09/2013 17:14

It was actually quite clever that Walt realised the police were listening in (of course they would be, he saw Walter Jnr call them) and he spoke in a way that made her seem like a total victim of his.

I read that the last two episodes will be 75 minutes each. I hope they will wrap all the loose ends up, BB seems very good at that anyway. I'm a bit nervous for Lydia; after the way Todd was looking at her, I hope they don't have a really nasty end planned for her...

PomBearArmy · 22/09/2013 17:14

*I'm a bit dim, and I only realised after he left Holly in the fire engine that he was actually trying to protect them all!

StrangerintheNight · 22/09/2013 18:24

I think it's 75 mins including many, many adverts, so don't get too excited PomBearArmy.
