As it says really - the old thread is nearly full, so here's a continuation for those of us watching on C4 on Sundays. Please, no spoilers - not even vague ones!

If you've watched the whole if season one already, there's a naughty corner another thread over there -->

YES! I said she was a sex medium! I am Le Shizzle!

Now, how do you say 'Get In' in french? So it makes sense, not in a random Google translate way? Grin

Missed a lot of that. Was on the phone to mes parents for ages, c'est l'anniversaire de ma mère. Gotta re-watch, then come back.

Oh hang on. I also went mad on the speculation at the end of the last fred and said What if Pierre killed Victor?.

Well blow me down. Who wants me to pick their next lottery numbers then? Grin

aliasjoey · 30/06/2013 23:30

riots I bow down to your greater knowledge in googling Smile

scrambled Pierre didn't kill Victor, it was the other burglar (currently unknown... wonder if it could be Thomas, later killed and now a revenants himself, thus not having aged - am determined to find Thomas guilty of something just because he gives me the creeps)

ScrambledSmegs · 30/06/2013 23:35

Yeah yeah, he was bloody well involved though wasn't he?

It was a damn good guess anyway. I shall keep on with the mad speculation 'cos sometimes it pays off Grin

Bloody hell, I sure missed a lot of that one. I really need to watch it all again.

anonacfr · 30/06/2013 23:43

Get in in French (I assume you're asking about the regular meaning as opposed to the lewd one) is entre (singular) entrez (plural or formal)

RiotsNotDiets · 30/06/2013 23:47

I think 'get in' in this context means "YUSSSSSS!! I have achieved something/something has gone well for me "

aliasjoey · 30/06/2013 23:52

Madly theorising... if Pierre was caught as burglar, would he be allowed to run a safe house?

Otherwise, he was never caught because he is dead

Tallalime · 01/07/2013 00:06

I lurked my way through the last Fred. I am watching episode 4 on or now... so I'm going to be reading this during the as.

I am loving it Grin but I do have to concentrate a lot more than normal so I don't miss any of the subtitles... turns out my French is a bit rubbish massive understatement

I didn't get the feeling it was a burglary, more of a murdering spree. yes pierre didn't shoot victor, but he was an accomplice, he has to shoulder some responsibility.
I don't think that adele's and thomas house is Victor's, it looks like a new build that is part of a fenced in estate (my guess is that thomas the control freak picked it). Adele would be better off dumping both simon and thomas IMO

qazxc · 01/07/2013 07:41

I have another theory about the revenants is it a "careful what you pray for link".
Claire prayed for camille to come back (ep1)
Mr Costa's wife was taken to soon and hopefully they are together now according to priest, so he prob did too.
Adele's daughter seems to be fairly religious, could she have prayed for dadddy to come back?
Maybe Serge's mum used to pray for his return (clutching at straws)
Victor, maybe pierre has been praying about taking back the house invasion?
Also I am quite tickled by the fact that Pierre has no idea who creepy victor is, and victor's revenge. Mwa haha

madhairday · 01/07/2013 09:36

I missed the very beginning as it didn't record. Did we see the face of Victor's mother/carer? Could it have been Mme Costa? And so she died then too - would that time frame fit?

The whole dam draining thing....what if it's like in the title sequence, with the upside down scene - so the dam is draining to reveal the original village, and eventually the new village will flood instead, so turning it all upside down? And the revenants are in some way part of this happening?

Lena's back - I also wondered if Camille's back had been injured badly in the crash, but not sure how that would link into Jerome beating her.

Also Hmm at Victor in hostel in mixed dorm.

It's all quelle strange.

BlackAffronted · 01/07/2013 10:33

Mrs Costa was definitely not Victors carer/mother, they looked quite different. My DH is convinced Victors mother & Julie look alike and thats why he picked Julie as his carer, but I dont see it either.

susiedaisy · 01/07/2013 11:17

I also thought victors mother and Julie were very similar

susiedaisy · 01/07/2013 11:24

If Pierre committed the burglary 35 years ago in victors house he would have to be at least 55-60years old now wouldn't he?

encyclogirl · 01/07/2013 11:50

Oooh the steeple/spire appearing out of the reservoir and the power station starting to flood. What's that about?

Is the emerging village going to fully emerge and the current village about to flood?

I know it?s strange and bizarre but I am loving the pace of it, the colours of it and the spookiness of it.

Not looking good for Lena is it? Although I?m sure she?ll survive, too many unanswered questions about her and Camille for her not too. Oh and yes, how can that underpass not be round the clock monitored considering the amount of murders and attacks that have taken place there?

AvonCallingBarksdale · 01/07/2013 12:09

How do Victor and Pierre "know" who each other are IYSWIM?? Victor looked at Pierre in the dorm when Pierre said about singing a song etc, but how would Pierre have known it was the same boy from 35 years ago, as he didn't see Victor then, did he, cos Victor was hiding in the wardrobe? Confused Last night properly freaked me out - need to watch it again with DH as he missed it.

BlackAffronted · 01/07/2013 12:24

I no longer think Lena/Camille swapped on that fateful day, I think they are who they are.

Onetwo34 · 01/07/2013 12:33

Poor Victor.
And Pierre, he is creepy isn't he?
I don't think Serge will attack Lena, I think finding someone already prone, it won't do it for him, murdery thrill wise, he will probably rescue her instead.

Abra1d · 01/07/2013 12:46

But interesting that Lena's face morphed into Camille's as she was lying there in the underpass . . .

aliasjoey · 01/07/2013 13:48

What ?! Lena's face morphed into Camille's ? I didn't see that!

avon I don't think Pierre did recognise Victor. Although he very subtley seemed to change from being nice and friendly to a hint of his previous personality - that whole scene was really well done I think.

I bet Pierre is a revenant already - hence not having aged.

SunshineBossaNova · 01/07/2013 14:05

I was on the Guardian blog earlier and someone linked to the official Revenants site. It gives very interesting descriptions of the cast (en Francais) and you can tour the town...

susiedaisy · 01/07/2013 14:25

Pierre wouldn't of ever seen victors face would he, victor was hidden in wardrobe?

Abra1d · 01/07/2013 14:36

alias, I didn't see it either when someone here (I think) mentioned it but I went back and watched the last few minutes again and she definitely looks like Camille, I think.

broccolirocks · 01/07/2013 14:41

When Victor was hiding in the dark at Julie's flat from the policewoman he remembered/relived the man saying 'sing a song in your head' and an arm reached out to grab him, wearing a long sleeved leather jacket. Bit later we saw Pierre driving then talking to the roadside police and he was wearing the same type of jacket. Could be a clue, or a popular French style?
