It is raining cats and dogs (technical term) here in theNorth West- I am not very hopeful of a full days play at Wimbledon. but fingers crossed. The weather bloke last night today would be 'Frustrating Friday'in terms of play. Fond of alliteration, those Wimbledon types.

Rain started. Oh dear but it should stay quite light and hopefully bearable until 3:30 when there's a heavier shower.

Yay! Showers seem to be breaking up as they reach the area. Next potential is 5ish.

But Stakhovsky has won a set, having looked like he was going to go down with a whimper. Which is good.

Hi all, have hardly got to see any tennis today - forgot all about it being ds3's sports day until he reminded me this morning! Anyway, not moving from my spot on sofa for a while now.

I had another cunning plan today - haven't watched much tennis but did happen to hear Stakhovsky say he was staying with a family with four dc. Well, I have four dc, I have a spare box room and I have a house. It's not in Wimbledon though ....

Ferrer's pants are too dark, they're showing through his shorts - not that it's distracting me or anything.

Yes I was wondering why Ferrer thought green pants were a good choice.

Perhaps it's a style statement.

Stakhovsky is on 993 if you have Virgin, but he's losing now

Does anyone now what's happening in the ferrer match please? Children have commandeered everything so I can't watch

Agut is looking very flushed, hope he's ok.

Ferrer is leading 2 sets to 1, it's 4 games all in fourth set. But Agut looks to be struggling a bit fitness wise.

Isn't that quite normal though? They slay a giant in one round and then immediately go out to some unknown in the next one.

Oh that's a shame about Stakhovsky, but it does seem to be the way of things. Ferrer through. He looks nice with his headband on, but even nicer with it off . He is phenomenally fit.
