Thought we'd have a new thread for today.

It is raining cats and dogs (technical term) here in theNorth West- I am not very hopeful of a full days play at Wimbledon. but fingers crossed. The weather bloke last night today would be 'Frustrating Friday'in terms of play. Fond of alliteration, those Wimbledon types.

FRIDAY ORDER OF PLAY

As I thought,Robson has had an up-grade from court 2 to centre, which should give her a boost.

Looking forward to see if Dimitrov pulls through- and
VAMOS FERRER!!
first upon number 1 court.

Hi all!
I am back at work now after having a month off ill Sad so won't have my full attention to pay to Magic Monday today.

I do, however, have 2 monitors at work so hopefully can have iPlayer on the go on one of them.
Stupid scheduling for the Brits playing early today, meaning most of the home fans won't get to watch.

am Angry Ferrer has been stuck oncourt 2- he's not been on centre yet, iirc he's the 4th seed, ffs!

morning!
Going to be a bit cooler on the courts this week.
Might catch the odd bit of rain tomorrow evening and again on thursday afternoon, but overall looking pretty reasonable.

Good morning, ladies! Seems like today will be a day of seating around watching tennis :)
I got up early, did a bit of cleaning and tidying up, put a washing machine on and I'm gonna start ironing in the hope I'm ready within an hr, before Ferrer stars playing :):)

ami if I do not start early with this xmas stuff I end up in panic come October/November and I hate financial panic. I am in college plus working part time, self employed, money is tight, 2 of my dc's have no income as full time students. Not even child benefit for one of them anymore... And it will be worse come the latter end of this year as I work less and college more... I knew I had to be almost done by September if not totally done - I am on schedule! I have gone without everything imaginable to get it all done before our very own financial dire straights hits us come September... I will get qualified though, I will do it. Determined Smile no matter how much I have to go without.

Oh witt A woman after my own heart! I got my son 2 gaming consoles on Boxing Day as he's bonkers for them, the older ones that you can't purchase anymore! I found them on Ebay and snapped them up for this Christmas while they were still eating Turkey from the one we were at!

I got my elder dd a facial steamer on wheels and a new double waxing pot and also I ordered her a Bio Sculpture Course (shocking, almost fainted at cost) which is in November actually so she gets it early - she couldn't afford it herself as she is a newly qualified beautician and nail technician and starting out plus baby is coming in August. She has to go to Somerset for it, given we are in Wales it means a hotel for her also and a night away from baby - but - once she is qualified in this? She's set up completely for a business. She wants to work for me, once I am qualified in sports massage... So if she takes a year off now and just does this Bio course and bits and family and friends, takes care of new baby, by the time I am qualified? We will be set to go.... So, that's what I got yesterday. The rest of this month? Eating beans on toast!

Yeah yeah bluster I reckon. She's hardly going to admit a home crowd against her in full voice gives her the squits with fear.

COME ON LAURA (sorry excited)

Kanepi is quite good but Laura has some steel too (fingers crossed)

I heard the news while getting out of shower and am actually scared for Laura - her opponent is bad arse... She apparently feeds off the crowd cheering on the other opponent.... Gulp....

Raahh Do we need a new thread before this one runs out?
Okay - got to go get my Nan....

Also good luck to Watson and Marray today in their doubles match. I don't suppose there's a chance it will be shown on red button.

Morning. New Tennis Tennis please for the second week.

Envy of those of you not working today. Scheduling's not working in my favour today. I'm sure they used to put British hopefuls on later in the day so that people could watch them when they got home from work.

MONDAY ORDER OF PLAY

And if you want to see where the draw is up to:
DRAW

Morning to the Tenniscult!

Was my sister's 40th yesterday, so had the zillionth party for her spoilt . Iwas driving so was very sober Sad. I got home, and discovered i have a nail in my tyre Sad. Am hoping car repairs are not going to disrupt my tennis viewing!

Pick for my is Ferrer/Dodig- should be a walkover, but Dodig has got this far courtesy of 2 players retiring through injury. That is not a good omen, so hope David's toe is much improved.

Youzhny could pose the first proper threat to Murray. Would love to see Haas beat Djoko- but at the same time, the tournament needs Djoko- can't let Murray get it handed to him on a plateGrin

And Go Laura!

Morning Sieze. What Christmas shopping did you get? I've started my list of ideas of what to get people (actually started it on Boxing Day Grin) but I haven't bought anything yet.

Roll on the tennis Tennis Good luck Laura and Andy today.

day off work today so lots of TV watching is possible, and likely. Thank goodness there's nothing good on telly in general, though poor dd wants to watch the tour de France highlights, we'll have to negotiate!

Definitely me in the mixed doubles with Roger.

And if anyone's on Facebook there are some lovely photos of Rafa holidaying in Ibiza. Rafaholics is the page to follow, as well as his own page of course.

Good morning all.
Tennis to the cult.
Not sure if I am happy the tennis is back today or sad because its the last week.
Can we get the US Open here?

I missed you all yesterday as well, it was a little odd not hanging out with the Tv & laptop like minded nutters friends.
I did loads yesterday, took my mark off Chub and mowed the grass, front and back. Cleaned the entire house, actually finished my tax return (hurrah!) Drew up all plans needed for this week and I even managed a little xmas shopping online...
I have to go out this morning, take my Nan food shopping then home so, the plan is, cause Nan is slow, go food shopping before I get her. Cheeky but - it'll work!
So, off for a shower then hit the food shop, collect Nan, home and back online and Tv on.
See you soon....
