Thought we'd have a new thread for today.

It is raining cats and dogs (technical term) here in theNorth West- I am not very hopeful of a full days play at Wimbledon. but fingers crossed. The weather bloke last night today would be 'Frustrating Friday'in terms of play. Fond of alliteration, those Wimbledon types.

FRIDAY ORDER OF PLAY

As I thought,Robson has had an up-grade from court 2 to centre, which should give her a boost.

Looking forward to see if Dimitrov pulls through- and
VAMOS FERRER!!
first upon number 1 court.

Witt - it is- and I'm sure Darcis would have gone the same way, had he not pulled out.

The pants showing through the shorts thing is obviously a fashion development that has passed me by - I see Almagro is sporting the same look. It's the men's answer to the women's frilly knickers Smile

Oh wait - it is on purpose. Or at least I think it is - Almagro has the same kit as Ferrer, whose pants were also on display. Apologies for my fixation on the men's pants!

Why does Spain have so many good players? Is it to do with the weather they have maybe?

Right, just in from work. What match do I need to watch? (If it doesn't start raining again.)

the weather definitely helps in Spain but also every small town has a smart municipal sports center with tennis, basketball courts, football pitches etc, the nets are left out safely and there just seems to be much more available on a local level for everyone to use

Bloody Castle better stop crowning Andy champion already. Don't want commentator's curse to befall him!

I just had my nails done while watching so couldn't get on laptop (daughter is a nail tech).
Castle kind of gets on my pip tbh, he's okay in small doses but I wish Boris or McEnroe were commentating...
Here we go......

Centre Court sounds like a swimming pool when the roof is on.

I'm not even right sure where my big dsc are! (19, 18 and 15 so not being overly negligent!). Littlest is at friend's house for tea.

Hey Farley mine are 22, 20 and 16 and I know where they are all the time, they are never, ever going to leave home, I swear to God - its like they are glued here. I might have to move out myself... If they do go out they always ring and text, I have no life, none at all!
