Just over 57 hours to go...

I really can't wait. In fact, I'm going to nc in a bit to honour the return of Tyrion, Robb, Jon Snow, Brienne and Arya.

Anyone else practically wetting themselves in excitment?

No not clutching at straws at all Vicar there are lots of theory's concerning his true parentage.
I think his parents are Lyanna and Rhaegar.

I think I need to read the books but who has the time??

The series seemed to dive off at a complete tangent to the book this week.

Highs and lows this week. Killing off poor old Ros like that seems totally unnecessary. We know Joffrey is bad, but this seems a bit blatant. Guess it shows us just how bad Littlefinger is too, if we didn't already know.

I enjoyed the 'chaos is a ladder' speech, and showing the characters who'd failed to climb as he spoke, although lots of fans didn't like it.

Loras is Gay is being a bit overdone - he's still a warrior and just because he's gay may not be obsessed with fringed sleeves and green brocade!

Great (non-book) stuff with Thoros and Melisandre. Poor Arya loses another friend. Poor Gendry learns 'family' is not all he hopes. I enjoyed the Wall climbing, but thought there were lots more of them?

So, why are they trying to marry cersei to loras? And I'm reading the books but totally missed the point when the boltons moved over to the lannisters. When did that happen?

Definitely get the books! They have so much more mythology and details and people and everything. That of course means they're long as hell.. Some bits are boring but overall, get them. And you get further than the TV series.

Oh yes definitely. I'm on the last book at the moment and loved them. Can't wait for the final one to come out!

Last night's episode was the one my DD was in. She was on screen for all of about 5 seconds but we were squealing with excitement here.

Whathaveiforgottentoday · 21/05/2013 22:58

How exciting, what scene was she in?

BigBlockSingsong · 21/05/2013 23:03

I might be Alone in this but I love Arya , but I find Dany a bit irritating she tends to just sound pretentious and full 'strong faces'.

MrsJaqenHgar · 22/05/2013 06:41

She is one of he babies used to play Gilly's baby. She is the one Samwell is holding while standing under the weirwood tree as the first of the ravens fly in.

VicarInaTutu If you bought the books I doubt you are on Mumsnet again for a few months Grin. My family mutinied after a few weeks. Apparently they kept finding me in various parts of the house reading.

MrsJaqenHgar You must so proud Flowers

We're huge fans so we're chuffed to bits that DD made an appearance, however brief.

In even more chuffed that her appearance is in the best episode so far this season. The wedding was fantastically awful. The Lannisters at their jaw dropping finest Grin

I should add that John Bradley who plays Samwell was a darling and was just fantastic with the babies on set. He's a really lovely chap.

Hi, does anyone know when the next episode is? It looks like it isn't on Sky Atlantic next Monday.

No, there's no GoT this Monday as it's Memorial Day in the US. Back to normal the following Monday (3rd June)
