West Wing Series 7

So who's watching and and what do you think?

I'm a bit disappointed, there isn't enough White House stuff and too much on the campaign trail. I think that although at the end of the last season I liked both Santos and Vinnick, there is too much of them so far in this.

Vinnick has started being painted as a bit of a baddie after last weeks episode, but I don't feel that bothered about the election as I know that I won't be seeing the winner in the White House.

Santos new advisor Lou is just a watered down Amy, and I don't feel that involved with any of the campaign staff.

What about the leak? Where are Leo, Jed, Charlie, CJ and the rest?

I am just finishing off series 6 on dvd at the moment - have three more episodes to watch and the leak has just happened.
Don't tell me series 7 is a disappointment - am really enjoying series 6.

I think Series 6 was one of the best and to me anything would be a downer after that

I'm watching (inevitably Grin) lilibet! Started a thread about it a couple of weeks ago (when I realised More4 was showing it) wondering where you were!!!

Thought the episode they showed on Friday was a bit of a disappointment, insofar as there was no White House stuff at all, just the campaign. Also I can't believe that Vinick would be so weak as to make a promise to the Reverends(?). Agree about Lou. Surely they have to work Donna back in somehow, don't they?

According to the paper, next week's episode gets back to the leak, so they haven't forgotten about it.

Still enjoying it though...

Ah, MadameDeMars... d'you know, I thought of you when there was all that talk of him getting into uniform... Did you swoon? (Mind you, it was quite 'functional' uniform, wasn't it... I was thinking more dress uniform, Officer and Gentleman style!)

I think they're going to write Leo out, but not sure how. During tonight's episode I thought perhaps they might just decide he's too much of a liability. But after the ending I'm not sure... perhaps his testimony will be unnecessary and they'll have to find another way.

(Am being deliberately oblique, btw, because I know it's shown at different times/days on More4 and I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.)

Perhaps they'll come up with something health-related (which would make sense). I thought he (the actor, that is) looked a bit unwell in tonight's episode, actually. Can't believe he's flirting with that hideous squeaking dwarf, though. Ugh!

Had DS2 off sick all week.

Had my 2 kids plus 3 extras for a few hours early, childminding for a friend. Now officially sick of kids.

DH worked late and then whined through dinner about the crap day he has had.

Kids now at my mums, DH in bed, me on here luxuriating in the silence.
