For any newcomers , explanations as follows:

TBFE: The Bloke From Emmerdale (Ian Kelsey who plays Howard)

SDTP: Saddo Doctors Thread Partakers (which we all think know we are but we love it anyway).

Waterfall cardi: Apparently these are a MN no-no but it's a wardrobe essential to a SDTP.

Gobbyplods: Karen and Rob Hollins, aka 'the only plod in the village'

Beanbags: are now being Freecycled and will be passed on to other lentil weavers.

Aaggh! Missed it. Got to watch it on iPlayer. Will give DD snacks and put the TV on so she leaves me in peace!

MsN - my local pharmacy do the flu injection for £7. Had it the last three years now, as have no one to look after DD if I get ill.

Raah - glad everyone is ok. You shouldn't have to pay the excess if DH is not at fault.

Hi Icelolly! I rarely watch it live but I still join in! I am also a member of the Mrs T and Heston matchmaking club! They would be perfect together.

Summary for Sparkling:

• Sub-plot was a widowed guy with a son that had schizophrenia or something. The son hear voices.
• The son said he'd heard his dad having 'relations' with his dead mums sister (his aunt)
• His dad had denied it, and blamed it on the son not taking his medication
• Turns out son was right, and his Dad and Aunt had done the deed
• Creepy Emma and Heston had lunch. TBFE got jealous and warned Heston off telling him that Emma was a married woman
• Cherry and Daniel were forced to go on a home visit together by TBFE. After which they had a bit of a spat which Jimmi saw through the Mill window and the penny dropped that they were arguing intimately.
• Jimmi washed his hands a lot, sweated, sighed and descended back into OCD

Although that summary is long, you have lost nowt in missing todays.

Poor TBFE, I think I'll offer to go in and help out. I could do a bit of admin, and maybe a few home visits, as I did a St John's Ambulance course in 1993.

Anyway, back to Doctors. I though 6tl was a locum? Why is she still there? And Jizz is clearly rubbish, so why is she still there? C'mon, writers- there must be some 70's sitcom actors that haven't been in it yet!!

6tl is in the opening credits so it looks like she's staying for a bit. I can't imagine the Doctors 'budget' (a couple of tenners thrown in an old Nescafe jar per week) runs to changing the credits for part-timers?
