SDTP: Saddo Doctors Thread Partakers (which we all think know we are but we love it anyway).

Waterfall cardi: Apparently these are a MN no-no but it's a wardrobe essential to a SDTP.

Gobbyplods: Karen and Rob Hollins, aka 'the only plod in the village'

Beanbags: are now being Freecycled and will be passed on to other lentil weavers.

Using this thread for a bit of a rant about the stupid, idiotic woman, who ran a red light and crashed into dh. DD2 was in the car, and is thankfully ok. The car is a write off- and we've only been paying for it since March.. We haven't even got the money to pay the excess. I feel sick. I should be grateful that everyone is ok- all I can think about is the inconvenience and the fact we just can't afford for this to happen now.

And I had to take ds to the doctors because he had an allergic reaction to god knows what. No home visits here.

That is truly shit re the car. I'm glad DD is ok but you are entirely justified in having a rant. It's inconvenient, costly and crap having to deal with that type of thing.

I'm not sure about the excess- never had a crash before so no idea what happens now. it's a stupid junction, and because they are building a tramline to the airport, there's lots of traffic due to temporary lights. It's not the first crash like that, sadly.

Ds has got some citrizine, thankfully in liquid form as he goes into meltdown having tablet, and i am not a very patient mother. Definitely an allergy to something, but i can't think what.

I am hoping everything will get sorted without me having to think about it we need an ostrich emoticon

At least dd2 is fine- was a shock going to pick her up from the scene though, loads of police about, but she was ok. Honestly, between grenades and crashes I've had enough this week!

Raahh glad everyone is ok, but as you say it's the nuisance of having to sort it out. Hopefully your insce co. should be helpful, they can tell you about recovering the excess (do you have legal aid cover-they can help too)

Hi all. Just catching up on yesterday before today's episode. I have had a craptacular week. Bad cold, followed by that hideous back then I spent all of yesterday turning myself inside out with a violent, virulent vomiting bug. Bleurgh.

today I have a grouchy baby who wants to play with daddy like he did yesterday. On the plus side it's his 9 month birthday today and he stood up unaided for the first time!
