Doctors Addicts Anonymous Continued - TBFE sees a SDTP wearing a waterfall cardigan and thinks 'WTF?'

Welcome one and all to the fan club of the afternoon soap 'Doctors'.

For any newcomers , explanations as follows:

TBFE: The Bloke From Emmerdale (Ian Kelsey who plays Howard)

SDTP: Saddo Doctors Thread Partakers (which we all think know we are but we love it anyway).

Waterfall cardi: Apparently these are a MN no-no but it's a wardrobe essential to a SDTP.

Gobbyplods: Karen and Rob Hollins, aka 'the only plod in the village'

Beanbags: are now being Freecycled and will be passed on to other lentil weavers.

He was dunking his biscuit MsN. Grin

dRaahhcula · 11/10/2012 14:19

Kevin's a dunkerShock dirty boy

I will look forward to this one. As a bonus i can now sign 'fairy' in makaton. Grin

dRaahhcula · 11/10/2012 15:22

ok- trying to watch this as don't have to pick dcs up for an hour. So far dd2 has turned the tv off twiceHmm

Mr Pixel??

the female bailiff is very annoying.

Ooh, the Mill is getting with the 20th century! We have a computer check in thingy at our docs, which is great when it works. Don't have to talk to the dragon behind the windowGrin

Sparklingbrook · 11/10/2012 15:27

We have an automated appointments line, so we don't ever have to speak to anyone. You can make, amend or cancel appointments 24/7

We also have the check in thing but more often than not it's bosted. Sad

dRaahhcula · 11/10/2012 15:28

Evil bailiff.

dRaahhcula · 11/10/2012 15:31

One thing we have done is take down a proper phone number from when the doctor rang us at home. This means we can through using a proper number not an 0844 numberGrin, and I can use my mobile for free. I feel so guilty every time I ring not really

Jas is getting on my nerves. i am on the side of the ex. Grin

dRaahhcula · 11/10/2012 15:34

I love the intercomGrin

Poor Mrs T- she's having a VERY trying weekGrin

dRaahhcula · 11/10/2012 15:36

Poor mr Pixel and his badge of doom.

dRaahhcula · 11/10/2012 15:38

She was very naive, the young bailiff- wtf did she think would be doing for a living?

dRaahhcula · 11/10/2012 15:40

'calling all doctors' !!

BiscuitNibbler · 11/10/2012 15:52

Just starting to watch yesterday's. I expect that as soon as DD notices the TV is on she will want to switch to Cbeebies / Nick Jr / Disney Jr.

Looking at Karen today she definitely has lost weight. I am jealous.

BiscuitNibbler · 11/10/2012 15:53

Mrs T looks good in purple.

MsN - Thanks for the congratulations. Smile. The film we watched last night was "One Day". Not bad, but the book was better. It was just on Sky, we didn't rent it.

BiscuitNibbler · 11/10/2012 16:04

The "ordinary people" story (yesterday's) is boring and predictable. Am loving Mrs T and the errrrotic writer!

BiscuitNibbler · 11/10/2012 18:09

Miraculously I was able to watch both episodes (in between having tea parties), so I have caught up.

TBFE was indeed looking mighty fine today. And to think, not too long ago I was being mocked for fancying him.

Kevin and Daniel looked rather good today too, it has to be admitted.

That intercom is going to cause trouble, mark my words! Wink

MsNobodyAgain · 11/10/2012 18:29

I am starting to fancy anyone with a pulse quite frankly! Even Heston. When he told that writer she was naughty, it made me all of a quiver.

I liked Gobbys dress yesterday. The crossover colour one. I would wear it.

I am converted to being a TBFE fan.

Obviously I am desperate for a man and new clothes.

Raahh I can sign 'need to go to the toilet' in makaton! Is that more useful than 'fairy' (did Mr Tumble enlighten you?)
MsNo arf at the dobber (a bit late with my responses)
Yer to TBFE Biscuit!

dRaahhcula · 11/10/2012 20:26

Told- that would definitely be more useful! ha ha! Mr Tumble was dressed as Grandad Tumble, who was dressed as a Fairy. It was as wtf as Doctors, reallyGrin

BiscuitNibbler · 12/10/2012 05:39

Wrath & Raah - I'm always disappointed Mr Tumble never gives really important signs like "Wine please" or "I need a home a visit".

Sparklingbrook · 12/10/2012 09:41

I will need a summary today please. I am off to Tesco for a flu jab.

BiscuitNibbler · 12/10/2012 09:45

I may get back in time, but may not. Nothing as exciting as a flu jab - already had that last week.

Sparklingbrook · 12/10/2012 09:47

I have visions of them grabbing someone off the till to do it Biscuit but I am sure they know what they are doing. Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 12/10/2012 09:50

Should I be getting a flu jab? I'm the same(ish) age as you two ... I think. My DS has one but I never have.

Will try to do a summary later Sparkling if I've not dashed out to get a flu jab

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 12/10/2012 09:53

It's only £10 MsN, I feel it's money well spent if it does the job. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 12/10/2012 09:58

Blimey that sounds like I have money to burn doesn't it? Sad It's just that if £10 stops me from getting the flu and I can still fulfil my motherly duties it will be money well spent.

MsNobodyAgain · 12/10/2012 10:01

Hmmmmm. Worth thinking about. Especially as I'd be knackered for childcare if I got ill...
