For any newcomers , explanations as follows:

TBFE: The Bloke From Emmerdale (Ian Kelsey who plays Howard)

SDTP: Saddo Doctors Thread Partakers (which we all think know we are but we love it anyway).

Waterfall cardi: Apparently these are a MN no-no but it's a wardrobe essential to a SDTP.

Gobbyplods: Karen and Rob Hollins, aka 'the only plod in the village'

Beanbags: are now being Freecycled and will be passed on to other lentil weavers.

Biscuit- i like mrs T, but she's been a bit mean of late, and i have a soft spot for heston...that's it

ok- doctors count- Daniel, Kevin, Heston, Jimmi and Jas. Across two surgeries And Jimmi has 'police work' to do as well.

I always get sad when characters go, I even felt slightly choked up when Immie went, but Elaine's leaving left me cold. She never really got going as a character before she left.

I hope the new doctors (surely there must be some coming) will have better storylines.

I wasn't bothered about Immie but I'd be gutted if Heston went, or even TBFE these days.

Definitely need some new doctors. I'm stalking Digital Spy on a daily basis but I haven't seen anything about new recruits yet.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't sorry to see Immie go, I just found her leaving scenes moving, probably because of the effect on Karen. I don't think any of the mill staff will miss Elaine, she just wasn't connected to anybody, was she?

I shall be looking at Digital Spy tonight, MSN, as Friday night is spoiler night! (That's if I manage to stay awake until midnight.)

On Monday I will be waving goodbye to my boys for 4 whole days while they go on a residential school trip. It will be the first time I have been parted from my son since he got over his illness.

I will blub like Karen and wander aimlessly through my house, before pulling myself together and living it up with DD!!!

aaw, MsN- bet he's looking forward to it (even if you aren't). It's dd2's 2nd birthday tomorrow. Dh is on nights, so we will have to celebrate quietly in the morning fat chance. DD1 has insisted on decorating a cake with a picture of her sister's face- it involved strawberry laces made into curls, chocolate buttons and yellow glitter icing. If dd2 was one of the Simpsons it would be a perfect likeness
