I watched today on Sky+ as had visitors yesterday. I am very much looking forward to thr threads agagin this year.

everlong I agree - she was great and I always like a singer-songwriter.

I watched back the 16 yr old today, and I think the 'moment' of her singing was very choreographed by the fac that most of the acts were shit, and mel b was so negative. Anyone with half a voice would have been seen as good, whereas this girl had a sob story and wrote her own song so created more of a wow moment. In another context, I think she would be seen as pretty average, actually.

Ugh, I actually can't believe I just wasted an hour on the internet watching this and will probably waste another hour every week for the next God knows how long !

Mel B may be harsh but she was pretty much spot on most of the time!

Even the good ones are only good in comparison to the rest of the shit.

When the first one was on (Pop stars? 2001?) it was awesome wasn't it? Or is that just nostalgia? I'm sure they used to show at least 10 people per segment - not ONE! Less judges/sob story/random crap, more singing ITV!

The best one ever was the one with Will and Gareth.

Pop idol was great, I was 14 at the time so was quite into it then plus it was original..

I remember having a sleepover at a friends house on the night if the final and I supported will she lived Gareth and we ran up a massive phone bill voting for our favourite over and over again :o.
