Personally, I can't wait. At a complete loss since the end of Borgen. Smile

Flip it. I just had to have a look at this thread and here I am posting and thinking again.

Yes!! What happened to Stefan's ironed man? Where is he? And who is that woman he left in the house in the country a few episodes ago? Is it just a random woman irrelevant to the plot?

teej the more I think the more I think you're right about the other journo. Will look v closely next week at him.

Excellent stuff, eh? Next thing you know we'll all be eating rollmops!

toldmywrath · 06/05/2012 19:24

Don't know if anyone has already said, but ironed man is the ex partner of the woman( Stefan left) in the house in the country-is that rright?

teejwood · 06/05/2012 19:28

yes, wrath - stefan complained the ex-p had spent the woman's rent money on drugs and was beating her, hence the "intervention" abduction

toldmywrath · 06/05/2012 19:36

Thanks tee. getting me skandi knickers in a twist!

lurkingaround · 06/05/2012 21:07

Duh! Totally forgot ironed man and woman left in the country were a couple!

scummymummy · 06/05/2012 21:26

Saga's boss in the police is quite tall and slim...

I do wonder about journo tho. Seems so mild mannered but could there be a steely murderous core behind that?

Hadn't even considered sexguy. That would be a good twist.

What will Stefan's sister have to tell us, I wonder?

love Saga. I don't think she's a psychopath.

evenkeel · 06/05/2012 22:34

I must say I did notice that Henning's masked killer had a funny walk....and lo and behold, the other journo had a verrrrry similar walk when he turned up to collect Daniel. Coincidence? Hmm, not sure. One to ponder, though.

On another note, sexguy is reminding me more and more of a character Harry Enfield used to play - with the hair and the porno 'tache.... Grin

lurkingaround · 06/05/2012 23:12

I don't think she's a psychopath or sociopath. Def on ASD spectrum.

Must look at journo's walk, hadn't noticed. He must be a likely.

MousyMouse · 07/05/2012 11:51

a bit late to that, had an ill child that wouldn't go to sleep and I didn't want to resort to tache's method

what about sonja, will she remember something that can break the case?

I (still) think

  • tache is somehow involved (as one of the many puppets or the brain behind it)
  • august is somehow linked

charlotte's (step)daughter had the same hair as she with wig, just saying.

jammietart · 07/05/2012 14:27

Late to this thread but just watched the first 6 episodes back to back. It's very good. But all the characters are very odd. And I wish Saga would wear a clean pair of trousers once in a while.

We must have met TT by now. I think the fact he kicked Martin in the balls is relevant! I think TT knew about his recent op. and thus I think it is Hans (?) Saga's boss.

But agree with the question of why we saw sexguy outside the club and the suggestion journo could be him.

jammietart · 07/05/2012 14:35

Stefan looks just like my Dad did in the 70s (social worker too). Anja's drawing looked so like Stefan - he has very defined 11s. And I really think he has a part to play. What about Charlie and his pipe and the self harming common to him and his sister? Iron man was on a rug in the bedroom so I reckon he has chopped him up.

KurriKurri · 07/05/2012 16:28

Yes I think you are right jammie, - the kicking of Martin's vasectomised testicles is significant, - it could mean it's August though. Or that August is in touch with TT and told him (because he also knew they were going to pick up Anja and August had that info.)

icapturethecastle · 07/05/2012 20:47

I don't think it can be the sex bloke as soon as Saga leaves it shows the perp listening in the car to the police radio but maybe he got dressed really quick. I wonder about the other journo as well. I am off to Malmo and Copenhagen this weekend can't wait.

teejwood · 07/05/2012 23:22

because i am a sad case i just rewatched the start of saturday's episode. t'other journo was at his desk when TT called Daniel

castle we don't know how long they have been looking for anja when they catch up with her. so could be sexbloke has time to get dressed, get in his car and start listening in.

scummy saga's boss could be a good hit, but why would he want the police to look like gits? what good does it do him?

re martin getting the kick in the nuts, i think TT knew because he is speaking with August - but August does not realise it's him, he thinks it's the girl.

either that or the person in the building was actually stefan who is ok to kill an aggressive homeless person but would not go as far as killing a cop (perhaps the death of the sniper cop was inadvertent and he was more bothered about firing enough rounds to get away?) Stefan did know about the vasectomy at that stage iirc? the shoes still don't seem right, though, for it to be him....
Confused

teejwood · 07/05/2012 23:24

scummy that sounds a bit confrontational in black and white - don't mean it that way, just wondering aloud what his motivation might be!

teejwood · 07/05/2012 23:51

ok - so rewatching that ep and TT is in the car when the police call comes through about anja. sexbloke is still shagging saga so it can't be him.
bugger.

teejwood · 07/05/2012 23:54

also as an amend to the earlier text - after TT calls Daniel we see the other journo in the background putting on or taking off his coat. but this is after the call has ended. so it is possible he wasn't actually there during the call? unless someone more eagle eyed spotted him in the background at the same time?

also thought his comments to Daniel that "this is not your story" or words to that effect were interesting.

scummymummy · 08/05/2012 09:35

don't worry, teej! didn't sound confrontational at all. not sure what saga's boss would have to gain. but thought it might be significant that TT told Saga she was clever on the phone so maybe someone she knows? mostly was just pragmatically trying to recall tall slimmish characters! not very strategic sleuthing on my part!

scummymummy · 08/05/2012 09:39

v jealous of your trip to Copenhagen and malmo icapture. hope you,be set the video to record the bridge tho! went to Copenhagen with partner and kids in Feb half term and it was amazing.

jammietart · 08/05/2012 13:49

teej I pretty sure I recognise you from The Killing thread last year. And I seem to remember you were spot on then so I am now seriously entertaining the idea of the other journo as TT.

Kurri a much more delicate way of putting it!

One thing that also struck me as relevant was when Martin was trying to recall something about his encounter with TT and he said there was something about him but he didn't know what. It seemed to me what he was hinting at was TT seemed familiar to him.

teejwood · 08/05/2012 15:05

yes, jammie, c'est moi, the bad penny!

i think TK1 and II were easier to pull apart than this, though - there were indicators in TK1 very early on, and in TKII, that were pointing you in the right direction (although it didn't always feel that way at the time!).

with this, it's fairly obvious that the big bad is pulling other people's strings and getting them to do a lot of the dirty work, which is obscuring our view of who the big bad really is.

which makes me wonder if we shouldn't be looking to someone more high-powered? i mean, would the journalist really have the personal authority to pull this off (as an anonymous person) when he gets pushed around so easily at work? also, he is a family man iirc, so would that fit the profile or are we looking for more of a lone wolf?

if we're looking at an authority figure, scummy's idea of Saga's boss is looking more likely. or perhaps the voice is a trick and it's actually Martin's boss?

befuzzled · 08/05/2012 17:24

I have reckoned sagas boss from ep 2 I think it was when someone asked him about how he was settling in or something and he said something about his wife being homesick or missing home - I reckon he is swedish his wife danish or he is half swedish - half danish. Remember there was that brief shot of him moodily walking down the road with, I think, a checked scarf on?

I think they will want to keep it balanced across "the bridge" and not have the baddie or bad guys be exclusively swedish or danish - so perhaps he has to be in cahoots with Martins boss as well ..... or be half Danish-half Swedish ...... kicked out of Danish police force before Martins time ........ ponders ......... hmmmmm

jammietart · 08/05/2012 18:51

Ooh one half Danish the other Swedish is genius befuzzled

lurkingaround · 08/05/2012 18:55

I'm gone back to thinking plain and simple it's someone in the police force.

icapture you'll have to fill us in on Malmo and Copenhagen. Malmo looks bleak, i bet IRL it's much better. Keep your eyes peeled for Saga and Co! (Attempt at joke from obsessed 'the bridge' fan).

icapturethecastle · 08/05/2012 19:39

Yes it does look a bit bleak Grin and weather forecast so so. Dont know if I will get DH to do The Killing tour - he thinks I am a bit of loony when it comes to these scandi crime shows.

Also meant to add before so disappointed in Martin how could he do that to his lovely wife and I agree that August must be talking to TT without knowing it.
