I remember loving Tivoli Gardens when I was there.....just gorgeous.I think we stayed in the YHA, and one girl got pneumonia, and we all got our passports nicked. (Scandi-crime was rife even in the 80s.) Hope you have better luck, teej!

Am enjoying "the Bridge" enormously....knocks even my beloved Inspector Montalbano into a cocked hat. I missed episodes 1 and 2 and can't get i-player to work at the moment, so Ive seen only 3-6 and been a bit confused - I felt like calling for Fazio for a few facts.

We stayed in a youth hostel in the downtown area. Basic rooms but v v v cheap with a brilliant bar/cafe area. t'was fab.

ha! i only caught it because skandi-crime forces me to stop multitasking and actually sit and concentrate on the screen to read the subtitles! thats why I love it I think - total switch off and relaxation. Sadly my ironing pile is suffering as a result.

Teej - have taken DS to CPH many times - usually stay at Scandic Sydhavnen which is very spacious, new and v. clean - and cheapish (come on this is DK, nothing is cheap except fags and coffee filters) as it is a couple of metro stops from central station. Have also stayed at Copenhagen Star hotel with DS a couple of times which was totally fine, they do a good (included) breakfast there and it was really clean and is right by central station. I was almost put off by reviews on tripadvisor about it being in the red light district but we noticed nothing and it certainly feels safer than central London. I think those few dubious reviews were from fussy middle aged Americans who have never ventured out of Kansas before.

I love going to CPH, and so does DS. We usually rent a Christiania-type bike to get around.

How can you sy that diddl? Saga is far from a simpleton. She is bright bright bright. Quite incisive. Like I said before probably on the ASD spectrum, but so what. I like her character, and I think the actress is excellent at portraying her.
