I am so bloody excited. I have wiped the sky+ box so that I can store the episodes. I can't wait to see brienne and melissandre.

And robb with his kit off.

Or jon snow.

Well glad it's not just me Warren. I am somewhat confused... Still enjoyed it though Smile

Will wait for all the knowledgeable posters to share their opinions and see if that helps...

OracleOnACrossacle · 09/04/2012 22:37

Stannis and Melissandre didnt actually do the nasty, did they?

I loved Tyrions scene with Janos, and I felt so bad for Theon, I feel so sorry for what is to come, although when he was with Asha (not yarra, Asha) I was cringing. where was her suckling babe?

It did swerve from the book much more.

DaenerysTargaryen · 09/04/2012 23:02

I think Stannis and melisandre did do the do because that's how the shadow she gave birth to came about but it was only hinted at in the books rather than blatantly happened.

Is that gilly's baby? I've read the books and I'm confused!

DaenerysTargaryen · 09/04/2012 23:04

Have you read the books Warren and ponyo?

OracleInaCoracle · 09/04/2012 23:05

Dany, ah yes... now i remember. it just doesnt seem very stannisy. and no daughter either.

it cant have been Gilly's thats such an important plot device later on!

Well that's what I thought but they seem to be changing a LOT!

Why did they kill off Rakharo? Her blood riders are still there now! (As far as I know, I've not started ADWD yet but plan to in the next week)

I was gutted about rakharo, I suppose it was to drive home the war between that khalassars.

OracleInaCoracle · 10/04/2012 09:18

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 10/04/2012 09:34

cheers! if any of you turn up, boring for britain about the blardy books, i will shoo you off... Grin

whathaveiforgottentoday · 10/04/2012 09:35

I thought they made quite a few deviations from the book which is strange as the 1st series stayed pretty true. I wonder why they changed Asha's name? What was wrong with Asha - surely its not pronounced yarra?

OracleInaCoracle · 10/04/2012 10:03

Aitch Grin I'm on both threads saddo

Maybe too simillar to osha?

osha, asha - yup that would make sense.

ILovePonyo · 10/04/2012 10:58

Daenerys no I havn't read the books - I am off to the other thread now Grin Although I will say before I leave I have just googled 'red wedding' Shock

OracleInaCoracle · 10/04/2012 10:59

Ah, the red wedding. One of those moments when you put a book down just to say "fu-uck"

OP posts:
ILovePonyo · 10/04/2012 11:01

I don't really mind that I've spoiled it a bit for myself, I would never have predicted that either. Just Shock

DaenerysTargaryen · 10/04/2012 11:22

Haha! I tend to put down the book and say NOOOO! and it happens a lot but the red wedding was the worst NOOOOO moment, the others were spoiler alert bran and rickon, arya and the hounds axe and also arya waking up blind :(

DaenerysTargaryen · 10/04/2012 11:40

Ah right Warren I wondered what level of confusion you were at, same as me or just general confusion as I snuck a peek at the other thread (which by the way is a LOT busier than ours ) and they are all confused too!

OracleInaCoracle · 10/04/2012 11:51

Grin I'm still a bit disappointed at the lack of suckling babe. Its one of my favourite parts of the book.

I do love the way theons story is being set up though, I really felt bad for him, he is so desperate for love.
