Thanks oooggs very interesting!

ohmeohmy · 15/02/2012 21:37

Consultants only ever see high risk births, that's why they go for elcs.

RabidEchidna · 15/02/2012 21:37

Looks like too late for the epidural

Dontgetpithywithme · 15/02/2012 21:38

I thought at the time, get going with the epi and now it's too late

NotnOtter · 15/02/2012 21:38

thats the normal LGI epidural line--too late missus

Lovely doctor for twin mum.

Raahh · 15/02/2012 21:38

the ones who answer the phone are so bloody rude!

whydontwehaveasharpknife · 15/02/2012 21:39

I don't get it...do the pain killers (diamorphine/epidural) take all the pain away from child birth?

StarlightDicKenzie · 15/02/2012 21:39

Oh ffs. They spend hours persuading her to have an epi, putting it in her head, then when she asks they say too late Hmm

WidowWadman · 15/02/2012 21:39

roundtable - agree. It's not a competition, is it?

Willabywallaby · 15/02/2012 21:39

I felt like a failure having an epidural, but whe I asked the mw said she had them for both of hers... Does it matter what pain relief you have to help you get through it?

whydontwehaveasharpknife · 15/02/2012 21:39

(excuse ignorance)

ImpatientOne · 15/02/2012 21:39

Thanks for all of the reassuring anti-sickness vibes for us emetophobes!! Thanks

Will stop hijacking thread now and try to enjoy it!

KateUnrulyBush · 15/02/2012 21:39

There's just no getting away from the negativity about epidurals is there? No matter what anyone says, the undercurrant is that you are somehow a sap...

KenDoddsDadsDog · 15/02/2012 21:39

The epi does yes.

working9while5 · 15/02/2012 21:40

They have 3 pools at LGI and they seem to push their use - I have two friends here who had waterbirths who never intended it... so though I do feel a bit Hmm that she was allowed in the water at 2-3cms with meconium, at least I know they use water a lot there for the regular punters!

oooggs · 15/02/2012 21:40

I was sick from conception to delivery with all 3 pregnancies have 3 boys & 1 girl (but girl was one of the twins so maybe sickness with boys is more common) bu maybe not!!
