Whoa, fantastic
Twin mum was an absolute star
And mw mum was pretty good in the end

I'm so desperate for another baby
My ovaries are screaming right now

It was interesting to see the twin birth - I had mine by EMCS at 32 weeks as my waters broke and one had a weak heartbeat - I have to admit I felt "cheated" and a failure in some way, but having seen her birth I'm not sure I would have had the guts to manage as well as she did. DC no 3 was born with an epidural as they were concerned I might have to have another C section and that was hard enough.

twofalls, my SIL is a midwife and had a horrible first birth - she'd been a MW for about 6 years before that. She says that it has completely changed how she deals with women in labour.

I watched this week on +1 - great episode, what an eye-opener for the mw mum.

And twin mum really is made of stern stuff.

"I would feel really weird having a workmate putting her hands up my foo, but then I work in a sandwich shop " - RabidEchidna you have made me laugh all day with your comment, thank you! Do we still have quote of the week? If so, that is definitely it Grin

RabidEchidna · 17/02/2012 20:15

I happened to see the American version of this today and it was crap

RabidEchidna · 17/02/2012 20:16

Thank you ZUZU

I saw this programme and I was a bit Shock at the midwife saying an epidural would be a cop-out. What a bad attitude to have as a midwife. Doesn't she know some births are more painful than others? I was induced on the drip (syntocynin or whatever it's called) at 37 weeks and it was horrendously painful with NO gaps between contractions, so yes I had an epidural.

Rabid, why was the American version crap?
