Is Mrs Doyle in the room?

NotnOtter · 08/02/2012 21:49

mum seems nice

VerbalBehaviour · 08/02/2012 21:49

Don't think so MrsDV, that 17 yr old is really going through it
Maybe comparing older mothers and younger mothers perhaps?

allnightlong · 08/02/2012 21:49

MrsDevere I've be wondering that too for the last few births too.

TheOriginalNutcracker · 08/02/2012 21:49

They can't know about the shoulders until the head is out though can they, and it is too late for a section then.

Dotty342kids · 08/02/2012 21:49

maybe this baby will be the making of Giorgi..

Snowboarder · 08/02/2012 21:49

Stop with the Mrs Doyle impressions!!!

AmberLeaf · 08/02/2012 21:50

I thought that 2 weeks ago MrsD

Theres very stark comparisons isnt there?

working9while5 · 08/02/2012 21:50

The problem is, rationally that's the case SharkBite, but when you're traumatised by what's happened even though you totally rationally accept that things could have been worse, it doesn't really make what happened okay... kind of like when you've been in a car accident and have a few broken bones, the fact you could have died is pretty problematic even though it's obviously, well, better than having died.. iyswim.

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 08/02/2012 21:50

she is very blue is that normal

Snowboarder · 08/02/2012 21:51

I do feel a bit skeptical (of anyone) when they claim that a baby has 'sorted their life out' before it's even born. IMO it's easy up until then. A pregnancy does not prepare you for the hard work of being a parent.

PamPerdbrat · 08/02/2012 21:51

Young mum also has a lovely supportive mother herself to help her along.

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 08/02/2012 21:51

crying all over again

sodapops · 08/02/2012 21:51

Oh that was fab!

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 08/02/2012 21:52

I did it mum.

This one is making me cry.

I am never going to have anyone say that to me am I?

BadDayAtTheOrifice · 08/02/2012 21:52

Why does her sister have a dressing gown on?

Dotty342kids · 08/02/2012 21:52

Aw, think Giorgi's going to be a good one! But why's her sister wearing a dressing gown?!

NinkyNonker · 08/02/2012 21:52

Wow. Just wow.

I had forceps with dd, 2 tugs and there she was, perfect. Definitely preferable to a CS in my case.

SharkBite · 08/02/2012 21:52

But they didn't say it to the mum did they? I thought they were in the staff room?

TwistedWitch · 08/02/2012 21:52

I suddenly feel incredibly stupid for feeling guilty that I had an emcs, what a fool I was to think it was traumatic it was without doubt an easier option than that, that poor woman is going to need therapy as well as a ridiculous number of stitches. Her dh was really good though. I never cry at this but I have done now. So relieved for her that she has her baby girl.
