Thought I'd start a new thread because the other one was so big

Anyone else going to be watching?

StarlightDicKenzie · 06/02/2012 21:20

FAS isn't all that likely tbh.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 06/02/2012 21:20

She needs supported lodgings not her own place surely?

A lovely kindly FC who will help her grow up in a way she hasnt been able to before.

mrsdevere there aren't many happy endings in child protection front line work

lisad123 · 06/02/2012 21:20

Some cases never leave you, clealry for him, its been a hard one. Shes only 23, and this is number 4!
In my opinion, the timing isnt long enough for her to prove it. We all know the stats of woman returning to dv partners. I hope im very wrong.

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 06/02/2012 21:21

How come Starlight.. I don't know much about it. surely if she has been drinking etc then it is possible??

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 06/02/2012 21:21

Dont you think so starlight. She has had a drink problem for a long time. I would think it a distinct possibility but she may be lucky.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 06/02/2012 21:22

oliver I work in CP.

hellhasnofury · 06/02/2012 21:22

He's a Jekyll and Hyde isn't he.

MrsChemist · 06/02/2012 21:22

would they move her to a mother and baby unit?

tralalala · 06/02/2012 21:22

kayano - no but when they are so vulnerable at such a difficult period, after losing children they can be helped to be given long-term contraception. It would solve so much heart ache. they are unable to take responsitlity for themselves (or a child) hence the fact they have lost a child.

I have seen women time and time again have babies removed at birth. The babies born in these situations are the most likely to have disabilities as a result of the mothers drinking (mostly) and drug taking during preg.

mousymouseafraidofdogs · 06/02/2012 21:23

he is acting for the cameras 'wanting the best for the baby' wanting contact...

StarlightDicKenzie · 06/02/2012 21:23

Perhaps but FAS is only in a small percentage of alcoholics.

Why is it all on him? confused not seen whole thing

She has even drinking and taken an OD but may be able to keep the baby after a couple of days moved away...

I mean does she not really have to take responsibility for her own hooves and it's all his fault?

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 06/02/2012 21:24

That is good to hear starlight, I thought it was much more prevelent.

is she off her head on something now or is she a little mentaly disabled?

but stranded so many babies are born with probs due to alcohol. And it can be horrific.

StarlightDicKenzie · 06/02/2012 21:24

I'm amazed and impressed that they are still involving Dad. Would be easy just to ignore him now he's not in her life, although I suppose the future might include him regardless so perhaps good to keep relationship.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 06/02/2012 21:25

She looks like my DS and his birth family.

Really striking resemblance.

Snapespeare · 06/02/2012 21:25

come on marva! Rooting for you!

This is always so sad, isn't it?

ranteetheranter · 06/02/2012 21:25

Really starlight? Not that likely?

Selks · 06/02/2012 21:25

Yeah, liking both of these social workers. Calm, consistent, and trying to be as fair as can be under the circumstances.

Kayano · 06/02/2012 21:26

I k ow re the contraception but they can't really force them to have long term contraception... If someone came at
Me with a needle / implant I would break their arm needle phobia

AmberLeaf · 06/02/2012 21:27

Why is it all on him? confused not seen whole thing

I was wondering that too.

Obviously she has no chance of keeping the baby if she stays with him though.
