I have an old lady crush on harvey hes so cute and yes i think he had a shite life as most of the characters do , what i dont get now i dont know his name but the guy who was combos friend in this is england , why is he hanging about with the gang as hes obviosuly so much older than the rest, ?

Banjo? I think Combo hooked up with him in prison and became his 'right hand man' when they were going round doing their NF stuff. He just fell in with the rest of the gang and once Combo went back inside he just carried on hanging around with them.

have just finished watching "dead mans shoes" with dh

I did guess that the boy with learning difficulties was already dead before the denouement, but I really enjoyed the film

the locations were exquisite (I love Northern countryside, and recognised Matlock Bath among them)

tbh, I am a Feminist and if I hadn't seen TIE and it's followups before this film I would have been ranting about the poor characterization of women in this film, but Shane Meadows does redeem himself with Lol, of course

in DMS, there are only 2 women, one of which was used as a blow up doll to abuse the handicapped boy which would have me fizzing, but it was done sensitively I think

it will stay with me for a while

and it made me cry but that isn't very difficult these days

oh, and Paddy Considine looks my DH who grew a beard for Movember and hasn't shaved it off yet

so that was kinda weird

Why did the 'baddy' make the girl fuck the brother? Was it just to show that he could control any situation? I was a bit confused at that, dh said it was just because he was peverse and playing games.

I didn't suss Anthony was already dead at all, just thought it was odd that he was always walking behind his brother..
I was hooked all the way through, mainly because although i knew he couldn't just get rid of them all and walk off into the sunset.. i couldn't predict the actual ending.

Any film that leaves you with loads of conflicting emotions is powerful to say the least!

Yes AF, it all seemed to be a massive overreaction until the big derelict manor house scene.. but i was so relieved he let the last bloke go.

I thought paddy was mick it wasnt obviously , i fell asleep watching it I have recorded it , i was a wee bit upset as a boy i went to school with was sort of bullied like anthony although not like that iywsim , but the cool kids really took the piss out of him it was horrible made him do all sorts , I will watch the rest of it soon ,

Apparently Rhys Ifans (before he was an actor) told Howard Marks, who was autographing an entire packet of Rizlas for him at the time, that he would play him in a film one day.. and he did!

I haven't seen Trust, would you recommend it?- The David Schwimmer bit puts me of slightly as i really hate 'Friends', but have heard interviews and he comes across as not of that ilk anymore.
